States do have laws. While each state might title the offense differently, it would be a law concerning "Abuse of Power." Any officer or officer of the court lying under oath would also fall under the perjury laws of the state. Any officer (or officer of the court) who arrests someone (or prosecutes someone) they know did not commit an offense could be held accountable under state laws for false imprisonment. The issue with this case would be exactly who is still alive from 45 years ago to prosecute.

Please these individuals *pride themselves in doing the most distasteful things, (doesn't matter who it is), in the name of camaraderie and advancement. I'm glad he got his sense of justice. I would never want any amount of money or power to have to endure what he and his loved ones did, and its mainly him. He could be given more and it would never be enough. It's sad his life was taken away like this. I hope he lives a long time, but I can't see how someone can go from one extreme to that much money, which is an extreme, and not make terrible mistakes. I pray for God to guide his decision and let him lean on his faith, not the things he can afford.
