The BWF World Championships is held every year except for the year of an Olympic Games. It is a showcase of the very best in the sport and it determines who are the World Champions in each of the five disciplines, men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles.
The first World Championships was hosted in Malmo Sweden in 1977, and the Championship was held every three years until 1983, after which, it became a biennial event until 2003. Since 2005 however, the BWF World Championships has become an annual tournament.

The Queen of Comeback !!!! As I remembered I’d watched this match while I was on the subway. And it’s really hard that I was unable to scream at the end of 2nd game when Ratchanok rises from the aches 😅😅😅

Mental stability comes with maturity and experience. Mia went south so quickly in the third game. She played well in the first and second games.

I was honestly so worried when Ratchanok injured herself at 16-19 in the 2nd game, I thought that it was over because that looked pretty bad, but I'm so happy that she won!

Such a fighter, Ratchanok She almost lost the 2nd game but fought back. Poor Mia, couldn’t get back in form at the 3rd game. Intanon is so graceful!

seriously, BWF you should really pick the commentator without any bias . . . when set 3 started, Commentator kept mentioning about how disappointed that Danish is and kept mentioning 16-19 ? why don't you see it as a GREAT COMEBACK for Intanon instead (SUPER CALMLY AND CONFIDENT) ? he is more likely picking his own favourite player and start to comment? means that the 3rd set points for Intanon is base on Danish disappointment ? and as ALWAYS the Emotional Quotient is always part of the game. so stop mentioning how that little girl (WHO YOU LOVE) feeling bad or good. STUPID BIASED COMMENTATOR. P.S. i am not Intanon fan.

ในช่วงหลังน้องเมย์เปลี่ยนการเล่นจากป้องแล้วโต้มาเล่นเร็วแล้วบุกมากขึ้นผมว่ามาทางถูกแล้วเพราะเมย์มีลูกตบที่ดีมากแต่ช่วงหลังตั้งแต่แพ้เนวาลมาจากที่นำห่างเพราะตีเสียเองมากจึงขาดความมั่นใจ และขาดสมาธิในการแก้เกมส์ ต้องรอสักระยะน่าจะกลับมาได้

Mia is a really respectful player. She is shouting when she wins a good duel or important point in the game, she will never shout for being unsporting.

Why is everyone judging Mia only by she's shouting? Many young players in DK is seeing her as their idol, and it's because of the way she plays and how kind really is. She is shouting to give her self a pep talk. I do shout myself, but never when my opponent makes mistakes. And that's the same way Mia does. Mia is a really great player, and believe me. Her coach and trainers AND Badminton Denmark will tell her if she's being unsporting.

Yes I agree, Ratchanok is beautiful and elegant and extremely talented. Only issue are those long leg warmers she started wearing. They cover up her pretty legs. As for her opponent; no big deal that she’s a little loud. Has nothing to do with respect. Same goes for tennis. 2 of the great ones; Sharapova and Nadel make noise on every point. No big deal either way. Quite does not equal respect.
