It’s cool to see people are still modding and loving their trans am’s. I bought mine in 2000 and began modding right away. The short shifter was one of the first mods I did and I love it still today! Dynamat came later when Circuit City went out of business. Nice interior change with door noise and ride somewhat. I see this video is a year old. I’ll go look for your interior!

I got a 02 that has a stock shifter and I find myself fighting to get it into second gear every once in a while. It's low mileage so everything is real cherry. I find it works best if I'm driving adhesive with higher rpms it will shift flawlessly, but if I get stuck behind poke Joe I'm always fighting second gear.
Love your channel Chris. I got a 99 WS6 last February. Almost mint, currently 29k miles. I’m so afraid to mod mine at all considering the mileage (it’s entirely stock). Thoughts?
Man that’s a hard one, got mine with similar mileage back in 2015. ( currently 37k and mint) . Do I think these cars are raising in value? Absolutely! Will they be worth 100k one day? Who knows but I think no. What I can say is , when tastefully done, some simple mods take a good car to an absolutely amazing car. Suspension alone makes these cars feel completely different. Even a couple bolt ons change the performance so much! To me keeping it stock looking is important but adding stuff to make the car great makes the ownership sooooooo much more enjoyable. @@ChrisBlasius From one black Ws6 Ls1 owner to another, I needed to hear this today. With a clean car it's a constant struggle to find that happy medium. Some days it feels absolutely correct to leave it bone stock, other days it feels right to make it a monster. I'm trying to be somewhere in-between, and have settled on trying to do 'quality of life' modifications like suspension work and a some stuff in the transmission-cooler, stall, shift kit, etc (mine's an auto). Hearing that track of 'tasteful mods' from someone else (even if you wrote it 2 years ago) is helpful.
@@bradleylovej just ran a crossed this video I just picked up / saved a black ws6 it's was a barn find that the guys brother was going to scrap it I ran into it and saved it it's fresh I should toba walk around before I wash it just got it to the house getting ready to clean it up how can you tell what packages they came with it's titled as a firebird formula it's has the ram air the old owner already did trans like stall shift kit and had it tuned to to match all the mods was dyno at 520hp at rear wheels has some work done just gotta find out what. It's got a after market rear end adjustable 3 different settings

Actually yes! It’s getting motor mounts put in as I type. A lot of changes since this video. I’ll put up a new video soon showing the changes and new cars!
For the last few months, I've got this unstoppable urge to get a WS6. I have a widebody Hellcat as well, what is the enjoyment factor of driving a WS6 when you have a Hellcat sitting in the garage as well?
Work Play Drive first of all congrats on the hellcat. Well, they are pretty much two polar opposite cars haha. The ws6 is raw and is a blast and gets tons of looks ( so does then hellcat though) i love the hellcat because it’s just so comfortable to drive ( the ws6 really isn’t) the ws6 is probably more fun in the short term just because it puts the power down well and is manual ( my hellcat is auto, sorta wish I would have bought the hellcat in a manual) in all honesty, the viper is a perfect blend between fun, power, ride and looks
@@ChrisBlasius Thanks man, kind of what I figured, I've enjoyed older TAs and Camaros, but never the 4th gen. I'm looking for a little more engagement than I get in the Hellcat, plus something I can work on. I enjoyed the 2014 Viper for a short period as well, and driving that car was a blast, but taking it on a long drive was exhausting... By the way, I also went with an A8 on the Hellcat as well, the clutch pressure difference between the Hellcat and the Scat pack was insane, I drove the scat for 4 years and loved every minute, after 10 minutes in the Hellcat I just wasn't enjoying the clutch.
Work Play Drive now I will say you can make them ride great. I have more money than the cars worth just in suspension... still will never ride better than a Hellcat though , I’d put the ride comfort on par with the viper now. Totally engaging and way better than my third gen I own. That’s a hard one, prices are going up so get one soon before they get stupid expensive. I don’t drive it much but when I do, I have a blast. Nothing sounds better than a built ls motor imho

I want to do a 5.3 swap build it to 400 hp which I already done some research but here’s the thing everyone is saying it’s going to be a bitch to do a 4l80e swap cause the wiring trans mounts k member ecm etc.. Iam trying to get a ws6 project or Camaro under 4K for the years 98-02 or 3500 for a 94-97 ws6 or Camaro. This will be a daily as it will be my first car that I bought my past cars were from my Dad 2 Silverado , 4 civics. Any thoughts is welcomed I would like to do this on a budget of under 6-7k maybe. Not including car please I want to hear suggestions or builds please and thank for reading this anyone have a blessed day.
