I think your answer to 23 is incorrect. I think the correct answer is B, not C. Australian Shiraz has lower tannins but more ripe fruit. I’ve checked this on 2 other sources. 🤔

Thank you for the comment. Generally wines from warmer climate produces wines with higher tannin and riper fruit. Syrah vs Shiraz is a typical example of same grape but with two different styles of wine.

In question 13, wouldn’t Chablis and Prosecco have less tannins than Beaujolais and Pinot Noir? Are there red wines that have lower tannins than white wines even oaked ones?

I just said the same thing @OohlalaWheee !!!!! I'm like WTF, easy answer...X WRONG! Whites have tannin's but most are almost unnoticeable.

Thank you for the question. White wines do not have tannin, so they are not considered in a tasting or description. in WSET SAT systematic approach to tasting there is no points for describing tannin for white wines. White wines can have some phenolic texture from skin contact during winemaking or aging in oak, but are not described as tannin like in red wines. Orange wines have tannin, because white grapes are treated as in red winemaking.

I have a question for question 13 As far as I know, the Gamay varieties of Beaujolais and Pinot Noir varieties wine have less tannins than carbene sauvignon, I wonder if I know the wrong information
