This is a modification to my Weber Smokey Mountain 22.5 Smoker to lock the middle section (cylinder) to the base section, to help prevent them coming apart when being moved around. I've had this happen when moving across patio pavers or hitting a joint in the sidewalk. The casters I previously installed will go down into the joint or bump against the joint, then with me pushing it against the lodged wheel or uneven joint, the pressure causes the middle section of the smoker to jump up out of the set position of the base section. This mod kit uses brackets bolted onto the legs to tighten down holding the middle cylinder to the base section in three points. This should prevent this from happening anymore. Also, there is a wheel and bracket assembly which is included in this kit. It works out very nice.
