Marc is such a pro. He knows he's worked up and it could get weird, his first question is "do remember the first time you met one of your idols?". Perfect question to get them rolling and to remind Keith that he's been in Marcs spot before. Marc always gets a good interview.
He really did. He really kept it together interviewing KIETH FN RICHARDS!!!! You can tell he’s super excited, nothing wrong with that, my head would have imploded and id be a puddle on the floor!!!! I totally agree w/him, being in the same room, getting to interview Obama would be everything but being in the same room, interviewing Kieth, one on one?? Totally different thing.
Actually Chuck Berry borrowed from Louis Jordan too. Check out the riff starting at :55. Although I was surprised when I heard that, Chuck is still #1 in my book. My husband played with him when he was a young man. There's also a big surprise about Johnny Cash in this video. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pPacwjW67Ww.html. Thanks for posting this cool interview
Good job Marc! Led Zeppelin or rolling stones? That is the question...(or the who) for that all-time #2 spot. Beatles would be the best band of all time...
The hubris. " I don't know if you remember we talked about 10 years ago on the phone I'd like to think you remembered." Believe it or not, I'm an avid listener and I hate to criticize. I would rather just observe. But all the "yeah yeah yeah!" as if you guys are connecting on some level because you've done a little homework and studied Keith...like EVERY OTHER BOOMER GUITAR PLAYER THAT EVER LIVED.. that is done a lot in your interviews. You try to insert yourself into their story. You feel like the interviewee must know something about you. Anyway sounds like I'm being disrespectfu...really don't mean to be..l but I will still listen because you have a lot of great qualities.
