Its crazy how unpredictable m2k is. He goes so long without defeating hbox/armada and when he finally does it's a 3-0. Same deal with Leffen except 6-0
consistency is so hard in melee, but you can't deny that m2k is one of the best ever. When he's on point he seems perfect. His style is pretty unique too so he can be really fun to watch.
don't forget he plays smash 4 and brawl and even the 64 version for fun. if he focused all his time on melee with his mains he'd be the number one God.
The king is making a comeback!!! C'mon, Jason. Let's win evo!.. I know, pipedream. Realistically, I'm extremely excited to see who wins. I really feel it could be any of the top 6 at this point (which is rare, seeing as usually 1 is primarily playing the best,) possibly an upset, too.. depending on how the bracket plays out. Players around the top 10 are inching their way closer and closer..
Finally! I've been waiting for MewtwoKing to step up and say "yes, I am still a god" and this was the perfect way. That was definitely healthy for melee.
I really hope he just sticks with what has clearly worked while trying to improve it a bit. Vs Hbox he needs to go fox and vs Armada he needs to go Marth. I think he could test out Marth vs the ice climbers a bit as I don't think his peach is that great at it, and I rink tournament results show it pretty well.
Mew2king 3-0'ed mango more than once , 6-0 leffen, might be the first person to 3-0 armada (correct me if I'm wrong) and finally 3-0 hbox. Did he 3-0 ppmd before? If so, that would be fucking insane.
*M2K punishes the phantom rest* That's what you get for not respect SDing on M2K's first stock, Hbox! M2K had a ton of BEAUTIFUL recoveries; his recovery game is much better than Mang0's, recovering several times when Mang0 would have gotten guarded.
m2k played great, but hbox was throwing some doodoo out there this weekend. Can't expect the same kind of performance from him at Evo with how consistent he's been this year. (Just like Armada and his goml performance) Shaping up to be a hype Evo, as always.
