Big Wu fan but I thought it was kinda corny, no hate just how it came across. As far as video direction RZAs always been about cinematics so I get the approach, maybe it wouldn’t have been as eye catching if it showed a dude drawing and pitching the design 😂
This episode was all about the people who hate. Culture vultures. If you grew up with Wu Tang then obviously this is one of the dopest episodes of the whole series. If you some look-loo culture vulture watching the show with no idea what you are watching then I can see how they might not get it.
Liquid swords is my favourite all-time album still to this day in 2023 bumping this album and blasting it through my stereo sets wu tang forever 👐!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such a great episode. The imagery and themes of records, airwaves, underground, originality, etc, it was all so good. Loved when they paid respect to MF DOOM, that was some G sh-t.
For those that didn't understand the ODB, Raekwon and GZA episodes. Simple, watch the episodes and listen the albums. If you still don't understand the references and secret messengers you are more dumb than the expected...
I think the production is on another level too… the beats all the way through are just too much.. not one skippable track.. the purple tape is easily the second best solo project from Wu though 👐🏻
@@rajackisback course it is.. lyrically GZA is easily the best in the clan although both rae and ghost are my next favourite.. ghost I think is the most rounded MC in the group
I like this episode more than the Raekwon one, and to me Cuban Linx is the best album, but Liquid Swords this Episode where he got everyone Together for the album, and the revolution is epic. The best so far. But we all know Triumph is coming. Can’t wait!!!!
Easily the best episode in season 3, may be the best episode overall in the whole series.. I think my favorite episode before this one was when they performed at the fever, and also the ferry ride episode when Rza was trying to get Divine and Power and Rae and Ghost to squash their beefs
The Fever was insane indeed. This GZA episode, Cuban Links... I'd add the Protect Ya Neck episode, and the episode where Mathematics create the Wu logo. Yeah there are some extremely dope moments in this series
Looking back, Liquid Swords and Cuban Linx stand at a tie, Gza and Rae having that raw street mentality throughout both albums. Not to mention Liquid Swords had all the original clan members, including Killah Priest who was replaced by MK because of Chessboxin’ but not Cappadonna, who became an official clan members later on. While Cuban Linx did have Cappadonna but not ODB
Just shows Rza got everybody to come together Made the beats and everything else Once the money came Oh I'll be back Oh I got other stuff to do Smh This what money does
@@vegito8502 Yeah but never forget #1 thing that got you to do other things That's the studio/music Once Wu Tang success came They all started getting lazy Making albums every 3 to 4 years
The show is executive produced by RZA, he’s obviously going to depict it in his view point.. I think the power he and divine had over the group caused issues.. Also there is no denying after liquid swords he was searching for a new sound which he found on Forever, but after that his production became mediocre.. a lot of the clan would attest to that.. there were loyal members though to the cause. GZA, Masta Killa, Rebel INS all stuck with RZA, and in Rebels case he could have dipped quickly been one of the best MC’s but constantly being pushed to the back of the queue for an album release. Even with the flood, he should have dropped 96 latest. Divine was dodgy with the money too.
This was a very dope episode thank God the producers didn't give The Rza full control because he would have start Rza-ing then this episode would have be all over the place.
@@chrisjacobs9101 wtf are you talking about the worst of the group lmao are you a dunce ? he created the damn sound of wu tang clown and his lyrics are way to complicated for that peanut brain of yours to comprehend . producers always getting disrespected by clowns like you that dont know music.
I think liquid swords is better. Better lyrics, better production. But Cuban linx had an energy about thst swords doesn’t have. Also, I need to be in the mood to listen to liquid swords. It’s so dark and foreboding and atmospheric. Whereas Cuban linx I can listen to anywhere anytime.
There is something about that conversation between gza and that asian dude. What was said in that scene caught my attention. I could be wrong on this but it sounds like real life ish? I don't know
This is cool but I have to agree with Raekwon. Would’ve much preferred a good 3hr well directed movie on WU. The casting has been decent at best. Divine, Gza, Deck, U-God and Rae have been casted well the others not so much.
Forever is underated tho, iv listen it more and more since the series and Forever is fuckin dope, doesnt have the hungry energy and magic of 36 of course butt Forever have deep tracks like a movie album just like cuban linx and liquid swords feeling, productikn crazy too, dont know why people low-key slept on Forever double album
Weird/ spiraling already but ingest it they use kungfu as their outlet and incorporated it with them but to add these type imaginary tyle parts is extra
Liquid swords meant something to wu tang fans lol BUT this is not a great album dope recreation of the cover tho I didn't even see it until it happened definitely dope episode 💯 for the record this is NOWHERE near OB4CL
Got maybe 5 mins into this episode and then couldn't stand the corny running thru the woods and finding some dude in a wheelchair in the forest. Reminded me too much of death slayer. I'm waiting for the tone switch up to them crying every word. The criminology ep was just too corny. I could see why they did it with ODB's shit, but then after criminology had biggie smalls looking like stymie from lil rascals, I had to stop the corny. I was really hoping this episode actually had shown a regular episode. Fuck, man. If this is all they going to be doing I'm finna tap out this shit and blame the network for it's failing.
my boy your first sentence literally solves your problem. WATCH THE EPISODE. How you gonna hate on something you never tried/watched? Tik tok frying up your attention span cant stay still and pay attention for more than 20 minutes smh
