Honestly you don't even need to play the game, there are multiple movies that portray his abilities way better than how League portrays him, Like Wu-Kong produced in 2017, I'm just say League Wukong doesn't have any animal transformations
@@Sluchayniy I like the way Wukong everytime he transform into anything he literally roasted Lycan, "Lycan got one transformation, I got 72.", Literally Neeko...😂😂😂
It always feeled like Riots Wukong didnt really capture the awsomes of the Monky King but your Version did it so good, now im really sad that we dont have this version but just a empty shell of Sun Wukong in League ^^
Cause it makes wukong too op. Inagine in a teamfight a janna ult then dashing in with a fckin r tornado also evading enemy strikes with q press when necessary. Also this would make the monkey king the hardest character in the game. Many mechanics to understand... OFC IT WOULD BE EPIC TO PLAY HIM... Just against him?
Eh if i would read... Now what i wrote stays there. I dont know too... He is clearly talented interested in game design and development. Balancing that?? Gl with that pfff... They cant balance the game properly as it is, not speaking about these mechanics. Also:Who knows what bugs would this cause... Viego, Sylas
@@norbertszabo7405 You know, the series is called "Doom Bot", so I guess he's aware of this being unbalanced, and did it on purpose. But even tho, every concept needs to be testet out, to make it fit. That's why it's only a concept. And the same is with bugs (but to be fair, in leagues spaghetti code everything might cause a tons of buggs)
@@norbertszabo7405 There was a whole PvE game mode based on playing vs bots that were empowered version of themselves. AI was the same, but difficulty was set by giving champs empowered abilities. And that was looking something alike to those EkkoLogical designs. It wasn't ment to be ballanced. It was ment to be hard
this is the respect Wukong deserves not just as a champion but as a character entirely, its also very ironic how Riot has refused this champions relevance for a decade mirroring just like how Sun Wukong was treated in Chinese Mythology lol... He is barely known in the lore and theyve always refused to elaborate or write more about his character in the story... for a champion released all the way back in 2011 he has zero special interactions with any champions not even other Ionians
the idea of holding an ability for a different type of villain is such a simple and good idea that I cant belive its not in league on every new champ also the whole passive thing stealing monster abilities is such a cool idea and could work as an actual ultimate for a new champion + his q being able to be recast as another skill shot is visually amazing
love the ideas :) a few of us Wukong otps have been begging for a rework for ages. Since his rework he doesnt feel like a trickster and just spams q and r it's boring and doesn't represent Sun Wukong that well. It's crazy to see you also had the idea for q being a line skillshot too. smite and dota 2 already have it and it makes the most sense to me
I like the idea of the W. and you also have a really good point. Wukong's unique trickster trait isn't that great anymore, because new champions can do it so much better. Neeko as mentioned, but also Zoe with her R and stealing flashes and now Aurora with her little rabbit hole resets. Something about these champs being better at tricks than a literal trickster god (in myth lore) doesn't sit right with me. The same way that certain champions with certain builds have more lifesteal and survivability than a full build Vladimir, a goddamn whole hemomancer
The animal morphing ability here could be a concept for a new jungler champion. just think about it, a champion that has so many ablities but the abilities she could cast is based on the jungle camps she farm is a cool idea for a champion. and the possible extra passive of this champon is when it takes down an objective (like dragon, herald or void grubs) it will be able to have a special buff for itself.
Hi! Great but one note that may help with your future ideas: With nimbus strike you want to do it instantly, so the second use (with E pressed and hold) is incompatible because there's no way to detect if the user wants to hold E or use nimbus strike instantly. It happens with abilities with no windup nor channel.
It's a very interesting idea, it would be a really fun character to play by turning him into something like Hwei and Karma, interacting with different combinations. However I would punish him by reducing his damage due to such a diversity of abilities, as adding cooldowns to his abilities would be a disadvantage for him, seeing as he is a melee character. As for the passive, I think it would be too big. I would limit it to after getting a dragon soul, Wukong gets a buff on X skill. For example: - Fire dragon soul: If he blocks with his ultimate, he will reflect X% (small) damage to enemies (like a thornmail). If you choose to rotate with your ultimate, that area will be imbued with fire and will do X% damage (Like Shyvana's W). - Wind Dragon Soul: Gain the cloud, and while out of combat you will receive a speed bonus. This could also ‘help’ Wukong to be multifaceted and have different builds, for example with that mobility he could be an assassin, if he has that buff from the fire dragon, it would help him to be offtank, or if he takes the mountain, tank, etc. Maybe I've freaked out a bit, but I've been infected by this creativity. I hope Riot Games sees it and takes note!
i was thinking this if using Black Myth moveset, otherwise an AD version of Hwei kit. Making Q staff moves, W clone moves, E wuju moves, ULT can be what you presented.
I like how this is a mix of Dota 2 (Monkey King - weapon extends) and Smite (Wukong - shapeshifting to other forms). This is indeed lore accurate Wukong, if 'balancing' the champion isn't the issue. Good job, Ekkological!
Hold E must be Surfing on the Nimbus that can pass terrain and consume mana every second, after your release the E it create smoke area that can be used for hiding an allies like akali smoke.
Man, you need to get into a game design team if you're not already ! Every video is so coherent and cool, of course the champions are always OP but that's the point, I'd love to see more, really nice job 😁
The idea of (2nd E) having up to 5 clones that last for 3 seconds (and mimics abilities with less dmg, lets say 15-20-25% of normal ability dmg) is a nice idea for an ultimate ability for a new champion or rework shaco. great work and ideas as always :)
Great robot! The pitching just keeps getting better and better! A lot of interesting options, it would be great to see from the developers such a variation and variety of possible abilities,ideas.... :< (small indie company, lol)
To much in W, make it simpler while also fun. every time you hit Q it has extended range stacking 3 times (think of k'sante Q) while also building charges like (pantheon passive)--W stays the same invis is slightly extended and using Q while W is active switches Q to a thrust stance strike which does max health Physical dmg based of charges-----E is changed to a piller stance dash which allows you to dodge attacks (like fizz) lands in an AOE and hits reduce cooldowns----R is still a spin but animation is like black myth and at the end does a wide sweep into a smash stance attack
You know, seeing this actually puts into perspective how outdated Wukong's kit is, and how much better other champs do what his kit is canonically supposed to do. In theory you could technically rework his base kit to be like that of Hwei's, and you'd be able to implement a lot of the ideas in this video as Wukong's reworked kit that would in turn make him more modern while also being more lore accurate. You'd basically be able to load his kit full of these wacky interactions without the need to overcomplicate his kit while also keeping it relatively balanced.
I really enjoy this way to do wukong... but what if his kit revolved around his clones, as this is a signiture ability that Wukong has in lore, the duplications to be a trickster. What if his ult was his clone ability and it contained charges? maybe you start with 2 charges on your first level up of the ult, then as you level your ult, you get an additional charge to a max of 5. Then replace his W with his ult, a simple spin to knock enemies up, and decrease the cast time. BUT, this is where it gets interesting, all of your additional abilities where you press and hold, those become unlocks as you level your ult as well. Similar to Kha'zix evolutions, Wukong would choose an ability to add an additional effect, and each one you described is perfect for this honestly. This way, you can have 5 clones that run around and do things, really throwing the enemies of their guard, but they all can be like 2 hit enemies, that way they are not too OP. And of course, your clones mimic you abilities, giving you a late game scaling champ who can really dominate teamfights
Q fast tap is a melee range attack, Q holding to charge becomes a long range attack (like Sion Q) W takes 1 second animation and during it wukong can dodge attacks and spells (lika when Shaco use clone). The clone that created is controllable (again like a Shaco), and you can switch places with your clone (like Zed) up to two times (kinda like LeBlanc jumps with W) E is a dash attack that hit 3 targets and creates two clones who stay for two seconds and marking all 3 targets that was hit, using E again on any market target (in range) will make another dash to it and attack with quick knock up (like XinZhao) R first use starts a medium range aoe whirlwind that slows and sucks in enemies dealing dmg over time, second use makes a powerful attack that knock up every inside close range That would be not just cool looking op wukong, but actually interesting and balanced playable champion😀
Your totally right, Wukong isn't a trickster anymore, ik that its not supposed to be implemented in the game but honestly i feel like if we actually remove the 2 cast on R + tune down overall damage AND we add the change about the dash that left a clone and the clone that last a bit longer (no control no TP, i think it would be just broken) I Feel like Wukong could be so much more interesting to play and a more noticeable identity
This Wukong update will happen in the year 2039 when Riot desperately needs to update their champions and their lore for the MMO to move further and/or for an expansion.
Fun Fact: While in every version of LoL, Wukong is simply based on the legendary Monkey King and has no relation to him, in the Chinese version of the game, he's straight up the same Monkey King from Journey to the West.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad change but... I prefer the old style, with just the texts... I like to read the abilities how many times i may want or need, instead of needing to go back and wait for someone to talk
