iirc devs confirmed long ago the UI is similar to GI and it's intended to make those players adapt easily when they try play WuWa. that doesn't mean Wuwa copied everything else from GI

Visually speaking (text, profiles, etc) are definitely inspired by Genshin but that's fine, I don't really care lol. As an old genshin player, WuWa is much more entertaining to me
@@lilblkrose It's expected as Wuwu's target audience are ex-Genshin players. Toxic players will always be toxic whatever game they play. One of the reasons why I don't play Wuwu. And I've noticed a _decrease_ in toxicity within the Genshin community. Which is nice.

It is still Genshin at it's core. Basically Genshin with different combat. Different lore, story, music, art style. But at it's core it's still Genshin. I was looking forward to it last year but decided not to play when they removed the elemental reactions and saw gameplays online (beta + release)
I loved genshin in the past but some can't face the fact that apart from story and dendro introduction their was never an evolution in the game. All characters feels redundant. Hsr every character feels new to play and its the same company... Wuwa is better than genshin on many level apart from story (Fontaine was exceptional).
Wish they would have copied how well it runs on my IPad 😔 Graphics look bad and it lags constantly and crashes every 5-10 minutes. Genshin meanwhile looks great and runs perfect.
Me when the game just came out like 2 weeks ago and is still pushing for optimization patches. All I did for lag was turn down the graphics, not every mobile game is SUPPOSED to support running full graphics on an iPhone 5, my pc runs max graphics like a charm but for my phone I take into consideration how a phone isn’t made primarily for gaming, and adjust my settings so my phone doesn’t get overwhelmed. I also personally beg to differ on Genshin looking better but that’s just you having a different opinion, and that’s fine. But your iPad crashing is either the result of your own doing by maxing out graphics on a device that’s soul purpose is not just video games, or it’s due to age of the device.
@@agr_aldt I can see that WW graphics are great on PC, but I did turn them to “low” to try to avoid lag and crashing, but to no avail. Idk why, but I can actually run Genshin on full graphics on my iPad with it only crashing once in awhile. I turn it to “custom” and it works perfectly and graphics don’t suffer much at all. Turning WW graphics to low seems to completely tank the quality. My device so far has run every other game I’ve ever played better than WW 🤷♂️ It will be interesting to see how well ZZZ runs when it comes out, I’m guessing it will run just fine.
@@agr_aldt You talk a lot about misinformation, but the fact is that the only reason withering waves runs poorly is that the devs are not experienced with optimization and it is on Unreal Engine, which itself is harder to optimize. Genshin is on unity which is easier to optimize, while having similar graphics. The iPad crashing is more than likely not the users fault but Wuwa, as it is far more intensive. As for the purpose being video games, it is the video games purpose to run for its users. Wuwa isn't a horrible game, but it is definitely not some godsend. It is a genshin clone, with better quality of life, but it lacks the experience and literal game quality that genshin has nearly perfected. Unfair comparison or not, its just as unfair for you to sum up other people's issues to their own fault, rather than accepting that withering waves has its own issues that it most definitely needs to sort out. Going against the wuwa haters is great and all but you are no better this way. Never put blame onto something else without research or even asking questions, and maybe we will reach a future with a great wuwa experience.
well if u have a shit ton of games on your ipad sure its gonna fucking lag and u probably have genshin taking up your space too no shut its gonna lag i have a samung and it can run roblox honkai star rail and wuthering it just drains the battery end of story your ipad is probably old as well or u have alot of pictures saved in there that also takes up storage.
another thing wuthering came out a few weeks ago yeah its gonna have alot of bugs and shit and its a big game too look at genshin when it came out it was horrable
I mean I like them both, but WuWa has some things I think it should implement that would blow Genshin out of the water (please give us an energy overflow reservoir like HSR has please please q-q) BUT it's a brand new game! I'm willing to wait and see how they respond to feedback and how they evolve the game. The story is appealing to me - Jiyan and his struggles in his character quest alone felt like a great example of more mature themes and I hope they continue down that kind of route with the storytelling. I haven't been able to play Genshin since...I wanna say 4.2? but I still love the characters and the story. But gad damn there are aspects of that game that WuWa absolutely improves on.
Well ya, Wuthering Waves is a Genshin Copy but that doesn't mean its a bad game. I would say both has their pros and cons & both are good in their own ways. its always nice to have a lot of options in terms of gaming. Now those who don't like genshin, can try out wuthering waves
Tribalism at its finest, kurogames fucked up, genshin has been fucking up for years. Both fandoms are losers for going to war on this lmao. As for the compensation, I believe it's just a stopgap and not actually them feeling bad for such a disastrous launch, but to each their own.
I love both games and I'm glad WuWa is making Hoyo uncomfortable enough to do more (competition for the win), but I think people need to chill about WuWa being a VASTLY superior product to Genshin. We're still in the honeymoon phase, and WuWa has many flaws of its own. For one, I'm personally concerned about Kuro's commitment to base most, if not all, of its decisions as direct responses to the Genshin community's outcries. People complain that traversal is too slow in GI? Let the character sprint forever, wall run and grapple everywhere. People complain that resins are too scare in GI? Give more. People complain that combat is too simple in GI? Make it faster, harder and flashier. People complain that combat is too reliant on elemental reactions in GI? Take it away. My problem with this approach is that Kuro seems too eager to correct any real or perceived "mistakes" from GI without really thinking how it affects the rest of the experience. Take traversal for example. Getting from place to place in WW is much faster and seamless, but at what cost? You don't really feel the need to take in your surroundings or really think about how you're going to get somewhere while preserving your stamina and/or cooldown of certain skills and items. You just go. WW's traversal is quicker and more convenient, but is it better? I'm not so sure. But hey, it's a "solution" to a "problem" in Genshin, so that's what matters. See where I'm going with this? I'm also concerned that team building will be way less interesting in WW. Intros and Outros are great, but do they really give the same amount of depth as elemental reactions? So far in WW, if you have a DPS, subDPS and healer, you're good to go, their elements be damned. What incentive do I have to trying different teams when I don't really need to? When I played GI as a Ganyu main I eventually needed to switch things up whenever I faced enemies resistant to Cryo.
You make a lot of fair points, but in the topic of the combat system you gotta take into consideration how hyperbloom is where you essentially quit the game in Genshin, but in WuWa, although the intro and outro system is pretty damn easy to adjust to, team comps like calcharo are points in the game where there’s variety and actual skill taking place. That’s what I think at least, thanks for the feedback!
I'm just gonna say my points and call it a day, so please don't not take this a personal attack either. I feel that the Wuwa could've used another beta to polish things out but the fact they're at least making attempts to address the issues is a plus imo. When it comes to taking in your surroundings, most people will stop caring after seeing it for the first time and want to get to where they want to go to quickly. At least the kind of players who mostly playing for the combat will. Genshin's problem is most of your ease of travel is locked behind specific limited 5 stars or 4 stars like Sayu and Kirara. If you don't have any of them well I guess you screwed then, have fun climbing this mountain for 15 minutes or having to stop to recover stamina cause you don't have Yelan or Xianyun. I think you didn't even mention that stamina actually increases in Wuwa as well, while Genshin stopped doing that before Inazuma released. Genshin is 5 regions into the story btw. I don't understand the depth of reactions either. The gameplay is E Q and swap for majority of the combat, then you wait for bosses to stop being jerks with the stalling and you go back in.Wuwa doesn't have a lot of characters right now so it's really pick whoever you're comfortable using and make it work. There's people even clearing stuff with Chixia, a character some people are saying is terrible. The Tower of Averstiy also requires you to use multiple teams so good luck sticking to only one. I'm with you when you say people need to chill with saying Wuwa is vastly superior to Genshin cause I think both games can learn from each other. It feels like Wuwa devs played Genshin and said let's get rid of all the BS. I'm down to support an open world gacha that's not forcing me to play hide and seek, tower defense or windtrace.
We will see how well they treat the community when they arent actually in some trouble, so far all the free pulls we get is , because they messed up the translations or some bug or some other issues. They arent gifts . They are compensations . And there is a difference in this . Can they keep this generosity when they aren't in some form of drama
The fact that they gave that many pulls period is crazy, 99% sure they even went out to drop more events because the Overdash Club was ass and gave barely any pulls. If a community has a problem they will listen, if they don’t I will cover that with a big amount of disappointment
160 gems per pull banner with 50/50 and guarentee practically carbon copy on character, weapon progression system and constellation system tell me how this game isnt genshin copy even tower of fantasy more creative than wuwa
you say stop misinformation but i dont get why u think opinions are misinformation. i play all 3 mentioned games and feel like a slave playing it. while im playing hsr, genshin i atleast enjoy the story, lore, gameplay, but when i play wuwa its just another genshin (its my issue ofc that i always have to think "oh just like in genshin/hsr" every time i see something) with cooler looking combat and parkour. i wouldnt state that artifacts in wuwa are better than in genshin. its pretty hard leveling them up, which stops me at getting progress at abyss. the tuner stuff is also too expensive atleast for right now. wuwa also has artifacts domains like in genshin and you still need to do them for leveling echos up while getting echoes as far as i know - is it really better? maybe getting main stats is only limited to amount of worlds there, but there is no ftp resinless artifact exp like in genshin(mintpicker stuff). u get so many echoes and can use them only to reroll and get databank, but after that its useless. only quests, abyss, shop give limited echo exp, i would be so happy(i would praise this game) if they implemented echo exp in each echo like in genshin (im not wasting resin on echoes when i need to raise up 3 TEAMS). the tuner stuff is a thing that adds up as something that is different and imo worse than in genshin. its just an additional farming hustle. something that slows your progress. the open world is nice but i still have to clear the 3 last fontaine+liyue regions and get e5 stelle at hsr AND GET MY UNI GOING. so much stuff is out and i think we should play something we find time worthy. genshin was time worthy for all the time wuwa didnt exist and will stay for me. im invested in the story and lore, wuwa - still not but its a taste thing. after jihnsi release i might delete wuwa. also about optimisation issues, i feel like i just got used to lags - bad for a timing heavy game, the only time i parry is when jiyan parries every hit with his na.
Opinion: Genshin is better than WuWa. Misinformation: you forgetting to talk about Tacet fields which GIVE ECHO EXP and proceeding to say that it’s impossible to level echos.
@@agr_aldt didnt i mention "artifact domains of wuwa" that you use for leveling them up? i can show you the line in my comment where i mentioned the thing you think isnt mentioned and in your opinion is a misinformation. i didnt say its impossible i said its hard and at the end not better than in genshin (as its just the same old domain u go to, to use resin to lvl up echoes/artifacts) , i have no resin to farm tacet fields, im currently busy raising characters, weapons, talents etc. everything u see and not see is a misinformation to u wtf.

What I’m saying is that when someone points out something only 1 person is having a problem with and that one person then saying it’s a game breaking bug, or someone talking about everyone’s performance when they’re only speaking for themselves, that is spreading misinformation. The misinformation they’d be spreading is that everyone is having this issue when it’s literally only them, catch my drift? Also I just read your comment again and I apologize for not noticing before what you said. But anyways… Yes I do agree that once you get to a certain point the relics become a bit of a pain to level up, but correct me if I’m wrong; isn’t you running out of resin to do tacet fields essentially you running out of resin to do artifact domains in Genshin? This is what I mean when i say that it’s not good to speak for everyone when you’re the only one with a complaint about this. Just because it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s an issue. They limit your progress so that you aren’t able to immediately get the best stats and echos right away. This gives the player something to look forward to doing while also balancing the game’s playtime a little bit. And again, the limited options for LEVELING echos is a huge problem they need to fix, but I find the system quite alright otherwise

There's no Paimon in Wuwa...yet. I say it's better already. Also have u reunited with your sibling yet or still 10 more worlds to go. It's like a bad romance anime where it takes the protagonists 2 seasons to hold hands.
IMO the only thing fun about wuthering waves is the combat but that's only because it's new. You get bored of the same shit after hundreds of hours no matter how "good" the combat is. The world itself just feels so hollow and lifeless. The story is laughable. The music might as well be titled "generic track 1 2 3 4 5". Character design is good(?) I guess, but character design in almost every gacha game now adays is good so it doesn't impress me at all. Don't even get me started on the disgusting looking UI. Everything about the game looks cheap. This game is not Genshin but believe me tencent wants this game so bad to be Genshin.

Player burn out is real and games like PGR and now wuthering waves trying to maximize the effort it takes to play a gacha game don't get it. Yes it's fun but the more complicated combat gets the more players will decide its not worth it and play other games. Why do you think Genshin has been so successful for so long?
@@gagefen5822 You can't please anyone. Personally I think Hoyo's biggest weakness is their boring combat. Genshin is skill, ulti, swap, rise and repeat until enemy is dead. HSR.... *Presses Auto and tabs back to RU-vid.* Meanwhile I'm honeymooning both WuWa but especially another game I picked up around 2 months ago. PGR. PGR is just mind blowingly good imo, far better then WuWa due to it having what imo is a 10/10 story with 10/10 music. The game is filled with flaws, menu hell, tons of currencies, lots of dead game-modes, story is all over the place and need a guide... But for me, who has played Gachas since 2014.... I haven't felt this giddily over a gacha... Ever. The story and characters are just so.... GOOD. Genshin I'm just logging in daily now for 90 primos, HSR... I'm at 100%. The game is casual and you only need a few hours per month to clear new content, but my interest is dwindling rapidly as I find the PGR story to blow the shit out of HSR. I understand that some of my takes are hot, but the world of PGR just hits me hard in the feels, something which Hoyo games doesn't seem to be capable of most of the time unless it's stuff like some of the Penacony, Perilous Trail, Xianyun story, Enkanomya etc. I play games for the story and music, game-play comes second, but needless to say, Kuro delives on game-play too. I'm a big fan of *westernized* anime style writing. Cute girls, and anime stuff. But in a Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Malazan Book of the Fallen world.
@@gagefen5822 what about games that have complicated combat and are still successful? not everyone likes simple and easy and both wuthering waves and pgr arent going for simple and easy, sure wuthering waves in the beginning is simple but thats just how games work, they ease you into the more complicated mechanics slowly so that by the time you get to them, you arent overwhelmed if simple is the reason why games are successful, then why are games like devil may cry and ultrakill popular?
