So do they still have some tread on the bottom of them? How many miles have you put in them now? Also.. the carbon plates that you can put in.. What are they used for? Havent been able to figure that out yet. Tha k you so so much for the details on Cam's shoe. Been thinking about getting it for a while. I use to be a 9mile a day runner and I am getting back into it since I got me a hound to run with. Him and I just got home from a run.
I put about 200 miles on em now. Still lots of tread left. The carbon plates help provide energy return on a forefoot strike. I didn’t use the carbon plates on this shoe, but I love shoes with carbon plates/rods. The new adidas Terrex Agravic speed ultra feels like it has built in rockets.
Hopefully they’re a good fit for you! I’ll probably post a “final thoughts” video for these in a week or two. I’d be interested to know what you think of em 🏃🏼
I used to be a big fan of the Salomon Slab 3, same one you use. I switch to the North Face Summit Series VECTIV Pro Shoes, game changer man. I'm already in my 2nd pair and love them, give them a chance if you think the Speedland is not for you
GREAT REVIEW! Saved me 300 bucks! Been planning on getting the TAMS but kept on doing HW. It's a mixed bag TBH. But your video really broke it down especially when it came to the overall Design/Function of the shoe in a real world setting. Everything from the Wide Toe Box, The Uppers, The BOA adjustments all the way to the heel. Great Review. Thanks!
Great review. I’m 120km in and agree the break in period was probably at least 70-80km. I love the underfoot feel, not sure whether I’d prefer lacing to BOA. Gonna run a bit more before I decide.
I like the BOA in general, I’m just not sure Speedland has the best design using the BOA. I feel like I can’t ever get the straps to be flat and evenly tight. I’d love to see a shoe from Speedland that’s much more narrow and with a different use of the BOA
Hell yea homie! Been waiting for this. I had to downsize, if anyone is going to get these I’d suggest go down a half size instead of going up like most of us do in running shoes. 10.5 was way too big and 10 feels good, like these a lot but not sure how long I’ll like them for.
Thank you for the feedback!! I was thinking it wasn’t detailed enough, but I’m sure I can fill in the blanks in the comments. Let me know if there is anything I didn’t cover that you’d like to know 💪🏻
One other question, do you have issues losing connectivity with your watch because of your tattoos? My Apple ultra randomly pauses here and there due to that.
I sure do! I have to wear a chest strap, but I did just learn a new trick. I ordered these little epoxy stickers and put one over the sensor and it seems to read my HR and other data fine now.@@HawcoFreeStyle
