This is my last video about gaming at WWDC24. I only want to cover the new games announced. If you want to know more about the new gaming tech go to Andrew Tsai.
I know it’s not the same but I’ve been playing RE2 on my M2 Max through Crossover with Cxpatcher running through Steam. It’s actually surprisingly playing with a glitch or two here and there. Currently playing RE3 remake… Obviously it’s not going to run like native but I have all settings at max and getting around 60/70 fps.
@@GlobalWave1 Will it be possible because the crossover to had the glitch ? I had the full game of RE4 on my 15 Pro max,it running very well, no issues except the FPS, maybe RE2 or RE7 will be better😚
@@PaulYjChang Im not sure but a few spots I had to shutdown Re2 and RE3. The games run great most of the time. I’m guessing when they port the games over natively the fps would jump like 30fps on my Mac. I’d actually use FSR upscaling and it looked good.
I found it's not very noticeable on Mac to be honest, but maybe on lower end mobile hardware it might make a difference. It seems to focus more on reducing latency with bluetooth peripherals at the end of the day, which is also important.
I always wanted to see Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 ultimate editions, as well as upcoming sequels and reboots (Majoris canaris and Orion respectively) to be designed with Apple silicon in mind
Holy sh!t i genuinely tought, it was one time thing so people would buy iphone 15. And that the history with bioshock 1 would repeat it self. I am glad i was wrong.
I am impressed, it’s great seeing all these mobile ports coming. I love playing on my m2 iPad Pro, but tbh since I got my steam deck it really has replaced everything entertainment wise the last 6 months I have had it. But I am still buying all these releases just to support the aaa gaming on iOS being available in greater numbers, it’s just a shame it’s come years after I really wanted it so I feel like I can’t appreciate it as much as when I was younger
AC:Shadow coming to M1 and M2 chips vs last gen consoles isn’t surprising. Both the M1 and M2 are more powerful than last generation systems. The PS4 and especially the Xbox One was dog crap the moment they released even back in 2013. Especially if you look at CPU performance.
A) You could play a much better samurai game like Ghost of Tsushima B) Is there really a market for playing major AAA titles on a 6" display? I have an 11" and 13" M4 iPad Pro and an M3 MB Pro. I play games on none of these. I figured it would be best to invest in a proper PC to play Steam titles on and save my Apple devices for movies, TV, and work.
I play games all the time on my iPad Pro m1 and now M4…it’s all personal preference. I stopped playing console games years ago as I just liked mobile games. And it’s honestly nice to see them bringing these big games to how I’ve gamed for years. Adds something different to play other than the more artful indie games that brought me to iOS in the first place. I should also mention that I only play premium games and I’ve had a lot of great games to play over the years.
These Alll AAA ios games will definitely fail note is somewhere because most of the mobile gamers would use android or purchase a gaming pc instead of iphone because these shit iphones are expensive and cost more than a gaming laptop
The resident evil games and death stranding have sold phenomenally well so far…I’m not sure what you’re basing this ‘failing’ on. And clearly capcom is happy with their sales to continue to bring even more resident evil games to iOS. You just sound a little bitter tbh.
Rather than forcing these previous or current gen AAA games on the newest iPhone & iPads just to showcase their power, Apple and other developers should focus more on porting games that actually make sense on mobile and are much older to scale back to older hardware.
This. There is sooooo many good+ games exist that the new generation doesn't even hear about it. Those games are not that hard to even emulate, let alone native support. Bring back real BioShock series, XCOM, Deus Ex series, Dishonored, Persona series, Dark Souls, Batman series, Spec Ops, Bulletstorm, Titanfall 2, Nier, Mass Effect series, Hitman Series; games like Journey and many other easy to run godlike indie games like Undertale, Hyper Light Drifter, FTL...
nah, at that point would will just be asking for switch tier aaa game ports. It is similar to trying to ask phones with chipsets lower than 8 gen 2 to run these games. Ain't gonna end well, not to mention those phones have very little ram.
@@oo--7714 Feral Interactive has been porting way older games on iOS over the years, you don’t see people saying that “oh port Rise of the Tomb Raider to iOS” or Borderlands 3 or whatever. Aside from people who are brainwashed into believing that developers will see all these big high end AAA releases coming to iPhone & iPads and will make OTHER developers take interest in porting their AAA games on to the iPhone & iPads WITHOUT a deal with apple no one will be buying these
@@oo--7714 The iPhone 15 Pro is SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful than the Ninentdo Switch, not to mention double the RAM. Any port that is currently on the Switch, would comfortably run at a solid 60fps whilst looking 10x better too. The only issue with iPhone is thermal throttling.
I used to laugh at mobile games until I saw Arena Breakout. It was the first game that wasn't all cartoony and well..mobile-ish. Now I game on my phone all the time because there are some good games released.
Is a native port but if you want to play the resident evil 7 on your iPhone right now and don't want to wait for the native, you can do it by using the cloud version that is available on GeForce now
RE2 Remake is probably my favorite game of all time period. Very close between that and Nier Automata, knocking down my childhood fave Prince of Persia Sands of Time. This is coming from someone who thought I would never enjoy games the same again, I was very wrong.
Just played RE2 Remake on my M2 Max and currently playing RE3 remake. I used Crossover with Cxpatcher running through Steam. I felt like I liked RE4 Remake more and I loved Village. Both were so fun.
That literally not the point of this whole thing tho. No one telling anyone to buy a 15 Pro instead of a laptop for the gaming. These AAA is about give people another way to engage with the content they enjoy. Cause even if you buy a gaming laptop, you still need a phone.
You’re missing the mark. Every time a game works on their cellphone chips the excel on the M series chips. Meaning someone who owns a 5 hundred dollar mini can game like they’re on a console and still have all the functionality of a computer. While only buying the game once to play on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. They won’t fail. Apple has a monopoly on Apple products.
