An overview of my impression of a German soldier in Stalingrad, September 1942. Credits and thanks to Tomahawk Films and AnotherVidHub for the period music.
The main things I would recommend for fading your tunic and getting a less vibrant color is burning/shaving it, which, while removing the nap from the wool, also gives it a slight brownish tinge, as well as letting it sit in the sun for a long period of time. Simply hang your tunic up or lay it flat on your porch or in your yard or whatever, and just let it bask in the sun for several days and the color will fade quite a lot. This works wonders for really any garment, uniform, or even canvas field gear.
why are you showing this off? Why did you go to the extent and the expense to show what a German would carry in there knowing that all they would come out of Stalingrad with is most of their teeth and a sorrow for their fallen brothers?
