In follow up to my first battle mat erasing test I did a 12 and 24 hour test of the 3 hardest to erase colors. See how the Clorox Bathroom Bleach Free Cleaner did vs the Magic Juice provided.
Love these vids! I'm backing the MGT when they open the second Kickstarter so it's super helpful seeing which accessories are right for me :) Can you show us the swiveling card holder/component holder? You mentioned it was the most disappointing accessory, but it was one I was most excited for so was curious why it turned out so bad
I unfortunately do not have it any more as I returned it (Craftsman Promise). I will say it was to easy to spin, was scratching some peoples tables due to not being level and the angle of reading cards when I tested it was not what I hoped. For me the price didn’t justify the limited use and I opted to take the money back and hope to reinvest it in the new accessories (which I hope to review as well)
So I have a story my friends and I accidently used dry erase marker on a mat similar to the wrymwood one and the best method was to use a white polymer eraser. I wonder how that would compare to the wet erase drying challenge
Have you tried Simple Green? It's a natural based degresser. It's good when you want to clean something aggressivly, with out it being harsh on most surfaces
I have not tried simple green however from doing a bit of searching online I saw another person say that it worked for them but started to damage the mat by removing the grid lines. Not sure how their account would compare on this product but would be very careful using it just in case.
They actually discontinued the insert screen already because of low sales (I believe they said 10 were sold in first several waves). I do not have one regardless due to the large cost that was involved with one. The leather is more brown and the espresso color seems to be a decent amount darker. That said my one piece of espresso I have appears lighter compared to most so it’s hard to say how it compares to newer espresso products coming off the line.
Do you get better results if you leave the spray on for a time first, like let it sit for 30 seconds? or is that not recommended for the mat? Might conserve some of the spray or save the mat from getting scrubbed too quickly.
