Oh yeah! We are about to strip down the fuel injection system off a parts car to put it on Grandpa's X, can't wait.

Excellent tips, although I do not have the X1/9 I do have the 147 GL which is almost alike the X1/9 and boy I do have electrical problems mostly when the rad's fan turns on and although I've looked and looked I still can't figured it out, will try those tips specially the thick wire from the bat to the fuse box, boy I wish I had a X1/9 though, thank you guys

Good tip on the flasher. Would using a different flasher (say off a newer car), that dosen't need to the heat to work, allow use of LED's?

Yes, dad and I are having morning coffee and he said Yes if you change the flasher from a mechanical one to and electric if will allow the LEDs.

Hi I just recently was given an X19 from my Aunt. It is rough condition but nothing too bad. The only issue is I don't have any idea how to work on it. I was wondering if there was a service manual or a website that had one so I can figure out where certain vacuum hoses go. Where certain lines are so I can place them and such. I really love the content and cant wait to get my x19 on the road!

So there is PDFs you can download xwebforums.com/wiki/index.php/WorkshopManuals Or midwest Bayless has quite the library you can buy for them also. Would be the best place to start I'd say.

I’m glad to see there’s a channel about x 1/9s, just bought one for 500 and I got it to run after 15 years, I have one question and do you know where the alternator voltage regular is located, it isn’t charging the battery

If it's a Bosch alternator then it's located on the back of alternator. If not then please comment back and we can take a deeper look into where. What year is your 9?

@@X19Restoration it’s a 79 and I believe it is the original Bosch alternator, I’m going to see if I could maybe clean up the ground for it, might fix it
