I didn’t go to KSU but I grew up in Kennesaw and y’all have no idea how crazy it is to see them in the tournament. Brutal loss but proud of the Owls and hope they can make it back💯

Oh yeah for sure. If i knew what i was going to do for college i would have gone there for sure. Still proud of the Owls for making the tourney. Best team Kennesaw has ever had. Hope they can try to replicate next year.

As a fan of college basketball, this type of game is what makes the sport so great, and if not a diehard X fan, I would have surely been rooting for K-State. Xavier basketball has clawed and scratched its way to where it sits today, and K-State has overcome and taken a huge step in advancing its program to another level. Now, it’s all about maintaining momentum, keeping coaches and players, recruiting at a higher level, building a donor base, and maintaining program consistency at this level. Good luck to K-State fans, and I hope to see your squad in many future NCAA tournaments.

three Owls unable to contain Jones! no call foul on Kennesaw rebounder was huge. terrible short court pass for a three point attempt by Kennesaw. man, I had the Owls winning. Xavier showed strength.

Rigged, on the final shot and keennesaw’s rebound the Xavier player grabbed his arm from behind, everyone saw it. The ref saw it. If you make the call they’re shooting to free-throws for the win. Not gonna happen.

@Forrest Montgomery I disagree. As we see in slow motion, #22 Black never has clear possession of the rebound. #3 White goes for the ball and briefly makes contact with #22's arm, but he doesn't hold or grab. If the refs call a foul for this, then there is a foul in 90% of contested rebound or loose ball situations. Great no call in my opinion. The closest thing I see to a foul on the sequence is on the drive, when there is contact with the hand on the shoulder/neck area of the ballhandler. But here I also believe it was a great no call, because the defender keeps his hand very close to his body, and the ballhandler leans into the defender with his upper body.

I disagree. 20 years ago it may have been a travel. Not in 2023. When he catches the ball, he has a foot on the ground and he is in a running motion. This is "step zero". Then he takes two steps and attempts a layup. It's not a travel. Had he caught the ball while airborne and then made 3 steps, then it would have a been a travel.

Xavier got lucky. They went against an opponent that missed easy shots, didn't read defensive coverage, and stepped on the line for unforced errors and they only barely won.
