This is just a fun speedrun which I got dragged into with my partner in this vid and yup, we got the new world record (Xbox Leaderboards). You can definitely improve quite a bit on this time but we just wanted to see what we could do in a single gaming session.
Huge credit has to go to DEVA (IDeVaste) who privately shared his fast run on PS4 and we adapted but used most of his core script (which is the hard work).

I'm coming back to speedrunning in Iceborne but regrettably I still have to start grinding Safi'jiiva for the first time so hopefully expect some new World Records ;-)

Lol, we only played for a few hours and not too serious, but you will see more real quest speedruns when I get my Safi Charge Blades 😁

No worries, there are 2 types of speedruns, Freestyle or TA wiki rules. Freestyle means EVERYTHING goes in the hunt and TA wiki in a nut shell means, you can only use your weapon for damage so no wall slams, mounts, boulder drops, mantles, palico, traps, etc. It’s my preference because it’s a raw fight between you and the monster and I play freestyle casually anyway, so it’s a nice change for me if I want to be competitive and challenge myself. @@jcpote1711 Much love! But yeah it's completely preference and whatever you personally enjoy most watching or doing. I personally enjoy watching TA runs because I feel you get to watch how a player positions/counters all the monster moves without reliance on anything else but their weapon. What I enjoy about freestyle runs is see how I can apply those tactics in my own casual runs. If you do post a run eventually, keep me updated on Twitter!
