Dead or Alive Ultimate is a compilation game that includes a remade version of Dead or Alive 2, with re-developed graphics (which utilized the Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball graphics engine and offered DOA3 game mechanics) and new stages for the Xbox gaming system. It also includes the original Sega Saturn version of the first Dead or Alive, with smoothed graphics, but lacks the additional content received in the later-released North America PlayStation version (No Bass or Ayane characters or extra costumes). Both editions include online play.

Itagaki ERA Dead or Alive games are now Backwards compatibility on Xbox Series and all of them aged like a Fine Wine

@@soraninja Indeed! All Games were complete and no DLCs like today! You wrote the comment around the time Doom 2016 was released (Another awesome game) and I remember it as if it was yesterday, as I got a beefed up GPU and and an SSD to upgrade my PC just to play it flawlessly! :D LoL! I used the same hardware to play Doom Eternal 4 years later though I didn't like that game as much.

I've only been playing this on Xbox 360 for a few weeks, and I'm AMAZED how beautiful it looks in HD. It's the type of game that could have actually been ported to Xbox 360 itself.

I remember in one issue of Electronic Gaming Magazine, they released a DVD of new games coming out that summer and they had an alternate opening to Dead or Alive Ultimate. I remember the first fight scene with Kasumi and Ayane was cut short so you didn't see Kasumi hitting the edges of the cliffs, some of the characters wore alternate outfits, Kasumi has a match with Tina or Helena on the beach in bikinis, and the ending fight with Ayane with Ayane wearing another outfit I think. it's not on RU-vid and I don't know where the disk is after all these years :/

The intro just don't feel the same without Exciter by Bomb Factory. A minor price to pay for what's arguably the definitive version of DOA 2.

I wasn’t shit on this game but I miss being kicked out of 30 story windows & Knocked off giant ass buildings & falling down 3 flights of stairs 😒 They need to bring that back and stop the bullshit with these exploding cars...

DOA 1 to 4 on Xbox was the series high point; then DLC ruined DOA 5 and 6, if they ported these games - expect a lot of added DLC and Micro-transactions.

True. But that's not the games' fault - It's this generation of gaming itself. They tried it in DOA5, and it worked. Microtransactions have ruined gaming in my opinion

This was the franchise's peak IMO, hated how it changed into a juggler it was fine for tag fights but not one on one, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, MvC are all better at juggling mechanics

How old am I? I had dialup internet 🛜 and waited about 30mins for this video to buffer so I could geek 🤓 out Also NO ONE IS GONNA TALK ABOUT HOW TEKKEN RIPPED THIS GAME OFF? This game used to be considered a "gimmick"
