The Xbox One X is here! Does it really bring true 4K gaming to the living room without PC hardware? Sorta. Let's talk. Subscribe for more: / gameranxtv ★Follow Jake on Twitter: / jakebaldino ★Instagram: / jakebaldino
Can we take a minute to talk about the guy that just plopped down on the couch in the last 30 seconds of the video. Like he must have known the video was recording and was like "Oh he is almost done.... eh I'm gonna nap"
I recently upgraded from a regular Xbox One to the One X to go along with my 4K TV and I must say, I have zero regrets. I can definitely notice the improvements.
Should I risk it for the biscuit and give up on the PS4 exclusives to get 60fps and other stuff? I'm not sure and I'm buying either the PS4 pro or the Xbox one X soon (plz reply ._.)
@@CarolinaPride95 I'm keeping my PS4 just for the exclusives (graphics difference isn't really worth upgrading to a PS5) and I'm building a PC, since there aren't many good exclusives on Xbox and Halo infinite was the last addition to the Halo franchise so basically it's all Forza and sea of thieves on there which are available on PC
You really shouldn’t have just glossed over the storage space. Some of the 4K updates are taking file sizes over 100GB, all are over 70GB and most seem to be sitting around 80-90GB. It’s a given of course, but I really think as a channel that a lot of people watch you needed to make that clearer.
It was a disappointing spec to me. If they want to be on PC level then they should start using SSD's or at least Hybrid drives. Mechanical hard drives are sooo slow.
The resolution on this machine is fantastic. No RU-vid video can show you just how great the difference is. It’s crisp beyond belief. I got my X with AC Origins and after playing for over 15 hours on it I decided to load up the game on my Old Xbox and seriously... the game looked like a muddy blurry pile of actual shit. I could never go back to 1080p after 4K now. It’s like my eyes have been opened. If you have a 4K tv and and are on the fence about upgrading then trust me you will NOT regret it. Playing games on standard HD from now on is just an insult to your eyes and the devs who make these amazing looking games. 9/10 from me. If this thing had at least a 2TB hard drive I’d scream 10/10 from the 4K heavens. Though you can pick up 1TB hard drives quite cheap these days anyway. Screw it. 10 out of mother fucking 10.
Marquise Tbh theyre basically the same. Just depends which you got friends on, exclusive games, looks for some, accessories etc personal taste you know
I'm buying it because I have a 4k hdr tv. I don't game but its got a UHD player which the PS4 pro doesn't. A decent UHD player is similarly priced and this will give me the option to game if I wanted.
well I hate to break it to ya, the quality may not have a limit, but the human eye does, the human eye can't see better than 8k (you can google it, I'm not a 100% sure) so anything better than what we have right now is kinda useless
Idiots are paying for $1,000 phones. $500 for a console gaming powerhouse that's also an excellent media hub with UHD blue ray drive? So, it's $100 more than a PS4 Pro. Sign me up for the One X...oh wait, I bought it already :-)
Thomas Lapoint don't get me wrong, I also think that pc is the best choice but whut? a $600 build that can play shit at 4k 60fps on medium settings. Show me one, and tell me what games it can play at 4k 60fps. I don't really believe it..
it should, but also remember that the devs are the ones that optimize games to run smooth on the given hardware. with these specs, they have a lot of room to work with.
Gabriel Boria Stop spreading misinformation. It can't do 1080p 60 because the CPU is a huge bottleneck as evident by the frame rate in SOW, ACO and ROTRR. It can do 60 fps on very linear games at most like gow 4, but even that drops frames according to DF.
It can do 4k 30 or 1080p 60 in like *2 games*. Tomb Raider and Gears of War 4. And the 60FPS doesn't hold either. If the game runs at 30FPS on X1 it's more than likely going to do 30FPS on X1X. If it does 60 on X1, then it's probably going to do 60 on X1X. Open world games are totally out of the question too thanks to that weak CPU.
I don't see a point to this Yeah 4K is perty an all, but it's not mainstream in the US and not all games will support native 4K at 60fps I wished companies in general focused on fps rather than resolution
I think the reason for this is that Microsoft and Sony are trying to catch up on 4K when it' still a way too expensive to do so. Just focus on 1080p for now, especially when these consoles can barely handle it.
For anyone replying you're gonna drop $500 on it for a resolution and framerate that's also available on the PS4 or even One S Not to mention the lack of exclusives that can take advantage of the horsepower and games that don't even use full 4K for all their games Also, the 1080p 60fps has to be patched into a game, I know Microsoft will definitely work around the clock to at least try to make all game 1080p but support for games at at least that resolution won't include every game
Wonder what games will even support 4k native as shadow of war is not one it uses checker boarded below 4k but at least it keeps 30fps for the most part other then seiges
Games are still going to be designed around working on the lowest powered consoles, it's just now they will make graphics options available on consoles just like they've always been on PC.
herogamer555 Yup, even willing to bet when we get the Switch Pro and most games come to all 3 again “since the Switch has taken off” ... they’ll start with the switch and just up rez the next Xbox and PS5 versions
Honestly, gaming hardware is being wasted on 4K resolution when the industry is clearly not ready for it. It's nothing but a resource hog. We're lucky to get 1080p/60fps out of today's game yet we're already jumping head first into the 4K territory.
BroImLeandre notice the word you use "Some". Those Some games are either paid extra from Microsoft (Rise Of The Tomb Raider) or are Microsoft Studio games like Halo or Gears of War. Not really worth getting at all unless you only play exclusives.
What if you don't want to play PC though? What if you want to lay on your couch and game or just generally dislike the idea of PC gaming? I'm one of those people, PC gaming has zero appeal to me, therefore a decent console is what I'm looking for.
What if PC gaming doesn't appeal to me? What then? How can you justify someone like me getting a PC when in no shape or form does PC gaming interest me?
I'm the same as you my man , had the one a week after it came out and noticed the newer games were starting to get a bit laggy so got myself the 'X' for xmas
Red Blue you shouldnt have to be getting another one bro this is the problem it wasnt even that long ago they brought out the original xbox one just milking customers smh
Xbox one X is awesome, can't wait for more Gears of war and Halo. Also Just love that it is cross compatible to my PC. It's perfect in the bedroom! The 4K looks very nice.
For me, the whole console experience is overall better. Most of my friends don’t even own a good enough pc to play the games I can play on mine. I would much rather chill on my couch and play games and laugh with my friends than play pc in a chair sitting 2 ft away from a monitor. The whole thing of just relaxing and playing games is more convenient on console. This is just my opinion, I’m not here to pick fights, but I would prefer this over a pc.
GMatt Plays Most console gAmers are like you. Normal people with jobs spending a little time in some fun gaming very conveniently. The problem with MOST pc users is that they’re anti-social human beings who don’t really do much than playing games. So to feel less miserable, they try to make console gamers miserable by saying “we have more frames and pixels”.
Juan Correa haha well fucking said, the whole PC master race thing is just pure insecurity. But whatever if that is one of the things that make them happy maybe we should give it to them.
2 problems here 1- You can just connect your pc to your tv using an hdmi cord so you don't have to use a monitor. 2- Unless you're talking about the switch here, then what you're saying holds little water. Consoles just don't care about couch co op these days. Yet, for whatever reason a lot indy games happen to support couch co op on pc. Guess online co op is just too hard for most indie devs. It's OK to have and express your opinion GMatt, but when it's uninformed you're just opening yourself to criticism. I don't mean to be rude, but I can only handle so many "I don't wants to game on a tiny table monitor using unconfertable k\m I wants conphy controller couch" so many times before starting to get annoyed. Basically what I'm saying here is you should ignore XOX and get the switch. That's the thing that'll give you proper co op with friends. Much cheaper, too.
This is true. Although I can technically hook my PC up to my TV and play some games with a controller, I'd rather let my PC be my PC, and my console be my console. It's nice to be able to just play a game from the comfort of my couch from time to time. I also prefer keeping my shooters on console because of the hacker/cheater scene on PC.
Whatever dude. You do whatever makes you happy. I can't care much about hackers since I rarely play online, but I sure as heck can assure you that I encountered a whole bunch of hackers on my switch/3ds. I'd assume that it's worse on pc but I wouldn't know
Lmao idk why it was so funny but as the microchip installed and the lights started to go on, the Kurt Angle theme played in the background cos I was watching RAW. Now I want to get one cos of that.
Thanks man... I have a Xbox 1 am an avid fan, but I still feel like I haven’t got a full lifespan out of my day 1 edition. So yeah pumpkin the brakes here... great review brother. And very helpful
Can we all just please agree that this new upgrade schedule ia bad for all of us. They should go back to a new console every 8 years or whatever it was.
I Have Skill Is the X not the same thing as Scorpio? I agree I’m not a fan of the rate console are coming out at now but I think the Scorpio is just a special edition xb1 X
What should i buy ps4 pro with a lot of good and normal games g that i don't thing i have time of it in the future or xbox one x with high quality few (good) games cod . assassin . Forza . nfs .fifa . 5 more and wait 10 months for new games like btf 2 or what ever ??????
I just got it one xbox one x i love i can the difference from the xbox one s on every thing loading time graphics and everything else and i mostly play froza hozion 4
Actually, the reason I was getting it for my Br. because of Mario (1st childhood game I played) . May consider it for myself, I haven't touch handheld console for so long and wanted to get one. How was the screen size, was it good? And 4 games I should buy?
Well why are you not going out and getting some of these questions answered for us?? Start talking to developers and see where they stand about this new hardware. Just an excuse to make more videos and more people to tune in, your welcome!
Really am loving my Xbone X at the moment. WWII at a fairly steady 4K 60 with HDR is definitely one of the best gaming experiences I've had in a hot minute. If you are in the market for a 4K TV, unless there's a once in a lifetime deal, please don't bother with the ones that don't support HDR. That shit made me bust a fat one.
I have yet to buy a next gen console and i might buy this as my first and eventually get a 4k tv it may take a bit but i think this console will have more to offer in the future and show us what it can really do.
What the problem with the power brick? I don't get it. It's safe and do not overheat hardware. Is it bad? It is even made in design of Xbox One (Xbox 360, hello).
Roblox is PC territory....XB just copied it and ruined it with their community, like they do everything else. I don't even play Roblox but shit man, PC gamers are going to take it back.
I think I need to get it I'm holding off on several campaigns of games that dropped this fall just to experience them at their fullest potential on the X
Being on a 1080p Set still, I have loved the improvements I have seen in games with my Xbox One X. I do have a gaming PC, and have seen myself drifting over to PC more and more recently because of how crisp games look, and how much smoother they run, even in 1080p. And so far, Im getting the same crispness and smoothness from the Xbox One X. Playing Battlefront 2 on my Xbox One S on Thursday, then Friday I got my Xbox One X, and started seeing more details that I didnt see the day before in Battlefront 2. The same goes for CoD WW2 and Battlefield 1. Also with Gears 4, I opted to play the Horde Mode on PC when I got my PC this summer, however now with the ability to run it at 1080p 60fps on my Xbox One X, I would rather go play it there. Its not a matter if Developers will support the power of the One X or not, because more often than not they will by default. What people dont realize is that nowadays more games are built for PC, and then dumbed down to for consoles, and more power on the Xbox One X means less dumbing down, which means games will look better by default.
@gameranx I own a PS4 (the first one that came out) and I just get bored at times and I really love Forza Horizon games and I’m very attracted to the idea of buying the Xbox One X bundle with Forza H4 and Forza M7... but is it worth it? I was also thinking IF I buy it to buy games like NBA 2K19, Black Ops 4, Batman Arkham Knight and GTA V but again the question gets in my mind... is it worth the $500 f-ing dolars????
For people who want the Xbox One X and want the graphics upgrade: If most of your games are on pc, don’t buy Xbox one x If most of your games are on PS4, don’t buy Xbox One X If most of your games are on Xbox one, buy an Xbox one x
onlychase, not by default, only if the developer includes the option in the game. Paying another 500$ for the same things but for an possible option to get 60 fps on some games? Why not wait another 2-3 years and buy the next generation of console....... PS5 is being revealed in spring 2018.
Jordan, no, that is not how it works, a game can't be something more if the developers don't add things to it. Beside, most games on a standard xbone are 1080p, what i was refering to is that we have options for more games, to chose frames over 4k, that will only happen in some indie and MS titles.
Under normal circumstances, the Xbox One X would be considered a 9th gen, Same goes for the PS4 Pro since the hardware is a significant upgrade. But since both consoles have the exact same architecture as their normal counterparts, they're still 8th gen. It's odd, to say the least, because the average gen lasts around 5-6 years before a new console release. It's essentailly the Sega CD and 32x of this gen.
Got to open my Christmas presents almost 2 weeks early this year 😂, I got an Xbox One X and it is AMAZING. Every game I had on the original, I installed quickly to my X, and it upscaled everygame I installed. COD WW2 is amazing and beautiful. Fortnite is gorgeous for a cartoony game. And all the other games I installed run amazingly in smooth 60 fps and an upscaled 1080p or 4k on my 4k TV. I'm so grateful I got what I wanted this year😃.
Will someone please answer this question for me since no one else on the internet will. Does the Xbox one x enhance frames up to 60fps on both 1080p tvs and 4k tvs or just 4k tvs
Hey I had a Question... If I Buy another xbox for my GF house and have one at home and use the same account, do I have to „share“ it? Even when both are only signed in with my one main account?
