The mere fact that OBSIDIAN ENTERTAINMENT AND NINJA THEORY, are even at threat of being on the chopping block, tells me that gaming is headed for another crash
This needs to be considered monopolyzing and lawsuits and governing bodies need to be involved. They shouldnt get to just shut them down they should have to go through a buyout period.
Arkane Austin was a shell of its former self. Over 70% of the people who made Prey left before Redfall came out. They were forced into making something that even they didn’t want to make
I was so looking forward to a Dishonored 3 and the evil within 3 but Microsoft just got greedy and shut down arkane studios and tango game works that made great game I hate you so much Microsoft. I feel so bad for everyone who works at arkane studios and tango game works who just lost their dream jobs. The evil within and Dishonored franchises hold a really special place in my heart because their awesome to me.
Uh huh, they only shut down Arkane Austin silly, calm down. Arkane Lyon were the main team behind Dishonored 2 and Dishonored 1. If Dishonored 3 gets made, then it would be after Blade releases. If you apparently care so much about Arkane then you would've seen they weren't closed as a studio but just one of their locations, right?
Because Avowed doesn't look like it will find it's audience and they make expensive, niche games that are incredibly good and remind Bethesda of their failures.
@@VideoGameSophistryFair point, but the same can be applied to Ninja Theory. Hellblade 2 looks niche and expensive. And their games take forever to make.
@@VideoGameSophistry Obsidian is working on many, many different projects at once and they usually do fine enough or even excel with some of them. Obsidian works in small teams on games intended for larger teams as you know. From what we know they could be working on a sequel to the massively successful Grounded and 3 different RPG's (Avowed, The Outer Worlds 2, and another one made in Unity). They also have the capacity to expand on larger IPs like Fallout while still having many successes. Even Ninja Theory are similar to this with multiple small teams making projects. They have Hellblade 2. Project Mara, some non-game mental health stuff, and because of their team sizes and work ethic I can see them having some other unannounced project or two. The thing I'm saying is, these two studios are usually constantly working on multiple things and have proved themselves with successful titles.
I honestly think prey 2 would have been bad, concidering that vampire game already killed arkane, on account that over 70% of the original dev team there left because of that game. But its just official now
Wtf please explain why is it xbox who people made fun of have no games and is trash and people say they want them to compete in gaming is EVIL and people need to be fired because of this but when everyone else does this or worse its like its just any other day
