XCMG E700: driving a battery-swapping, fully electric truck in New Zealand 

With diesel on its way to $2.50 a litre, electric trucks are now BIG news, especially when you can swap out the battery in less than 5 minutes.
But what are they like in the real world and how far can they go per charge? To find out, Gavin went for a ride with Ross Linton, director of Etrucks; New Zealand's supplier of the fully electric XCMG E700 - and many others.
