I was dying for someone to share their thoughts on this. I think this is gonna be awesome man. I truly do

The contrast ratio is listed in their specs as 1000:1. As for the response time, their press event showed a live demo of the tablet where it looked pretty fast. I am considering getting the Xencelabs vs the Kamvas Pro 24 (4K), as I like the greater brightness, deeper Adobe RGB depth, and the fact it comes with everything I would need out-of-the-box.

I ordered it today. The biggest reason why I got it is because it comes with everything you need, there’s no need to buy anything additional. I’ve heard a lot of people complain about the touch support. For me, not having touch support is a blessing. Touch support has been more of a hindrance, and an annoyance on any of these displays. I’m completely fine with 60 Hz refresh rate.

If this had a higher refresh rate display I would be throwing my money at Xencelabs. Now I'm waiting for reviews to sell me on whether the premium versus Huion is worth it since both are Chinese made, 4k 60hz pen displays. Xencelabs comes with more acessories I guess, but I will be using a monitor arm.

The Huion is also 2 years old or so now I think, so maybe they will have something new soon? Not sure what they would add in a new model, though? A larger screen? - 27"? or maybe 120hz?

This is great news! More competition is always better for consumers. The only thing that Wacom has right now over the others is the 120Hz refresh rate. I've been waiting for this for a while and I hope in the next few years it becomes standard for all of the tablet manufacturers.

Hi Teoh, I managed to test this device during a comic event today! Maybe if there’s a similar event near you where they do test exhibitions you can do a test run as well for a quick video instead? My initial impression of the screen weren’t so positive though, but I’d still like to hear from you if you can test it.
@teohontech7141
@teohontech7141 Год назад
What's the issue with the screen?
@derpyazerty
@derpyazerty Год назад
Maybe because it’s an event hall with bright lighting pointed directly towards the display from above (+default brightness setting unsuited to the environment) but the colors were underwhelmingly dull for a dci-p3 and Pantone validated display in my opinion? Or maybe the anti-glare coating was too strong, but from someone who’s only point of reference is a Cintiq 16(itself has subpar colors) that’s how I feel about it. Hence I’d like to know another persons opinion on it especially someone who has tried quite a few.
@teohyc
@teohyc Год назад
@@derpyazerty There’s probably the anti-glare white haze created by the matte surface and hall light that is affecting the visual quality.

I'm looking forward to seeing comments from those who believe Huion is expensive. Huion Kamvas Pro 24 (4k) is still the most affordable 4k 24 inch monitor on the market. It is also fowards compatible with the most recent PW550s pen.
@htsunmiku
@htsunmiku Год назад
this tablet is this is £1.8 and a huion 24 4k is £1.1 If I was seriously considering it, honestly prefer to save up the extra for Xencelabs. I do like huion. My current screen tab is from them. But I feel like Xencelabs may be more reliable.
@chimeron260
@chimeron260 Год назад
Honestly I think while the 4k screen and 120hz would be nice, if price is an issue I have the Kamvas 22+, which is 1080p 60hz and it is fantastic. It’s crazy how much better it is than my older wacom pen display ( I had a wacom 13HD 2013 ) and it cost half as much, and the Wacom display was great when I had it. I see a bit of pixelation on the huion but only zoomed out and it looks fine zoomed in while drawing, and my regular monitor to the left of my pen display makes up for the 1080p display a bit, while the huion makes up for my 1440p display’s poor color accuracy
@DraconicA5
@DraconicA5 Год назад
@@htsunmiku Why do you believe a new brand like Xencelabs is more trustworthy? This is their first ever pen display drawing tablet on the market. The new PW550s pen quality is comparable to that of Wacom. So a Huion Kamvas Pro 24 (4k) with PW550s is less expensive than this Xencelabs tablet. I'm not sure where you're from, but if you think a difference of 700 USD is insignificant, I guess my point is irrelevant to you anyway.
@DraconicA5
@DraconicA5 Год назад
@@chimeron260 It's not about the price, but about what you can get for it. There is no need to spend an extra $700 for a slight difference in pen quality. However, the display quality of 4k and 2k is vastly different. If you have the means, it is worthwhile to invest in a 4k drawing display.
@htsunmiku
@htsunmiku Год назад
@@DraconicA5 are you absolutely sure it's comparable to wacom? I currently use a huion tablet but I also have some other non artist tablets that have wacoms tech and their pen technology just seems so much nicer to draw with. Xen has people who are ex-wacom. I have never heard anyone say huion and wacom in terms of drawing experience are 1:1. But if you are right that the new pen is better then I believe you. But from what heard about the recent studio products It's still not wacom level (Also xens add ons just seem better quality. The remote. The stand etc etc)
@johnobrien3066
@johnobrien3066 Год назад
If I had money to burn, I would preorder this one, or any huge screen tablet for that matter. Even then, I'd probably buy a new computer and a nicely sized screenless drawing tablet paired with a good monitor, or do those DIY cintiq where you strap on a screen, and you can remove it, it's lke the best of both worlds. That or an XP Pen Artist 12 or 13, those look nice too, maybe a Samsung Tab. Still, it looks cool.

My huion kamvas pro 24 4k just stop working after one month and a year, out of warranty because I bought from Shopee. I guess Huion just started waving away 150usd for additional 1 year warranty recently. So it is 2 years now. Feel sad looking at the malfunction expensive tablet sitting right across me. Here I am, research on tablet again. I get a sense that display tablet is easy to break regardless of brands. Wacom, Huion and xppen all the same. It is very easy to google up a long list of reddit ppl lost their device and issues. I'm thinking might as well just get a cheap 2.5k from any brand and use a year or 2 (if lucky); Or maybe give Xencelab a try. Feel so sad. really sad. Then I look at my ipad pro. Damn I wish you were bigger.

WARNING. I own Xenclabs 24 now. Text is EXTREMELY fuzzy. Also, viewing angles are abysmal. Sitting directly in the middle, if I turn my eyes to the side of the display everything gets even more blurry and desaturated. It’s like looking under the glass. I have to rock left and right to see anything half clearly. The color settings are basically nonexistent. And the shortcut keys on the pens work only when they want to, Right Click, I’m looking at you.
