If Samsung made such a phone, with IP rating, better design, better camera and better chipset, they would charge 800-1000$ for it .... :D So Samsung has gone to the dark side of pricing with apple on all phones... Time for Xiaomi and Huawei to stomp 'em up ;)
Watching this on my Mi Max 2. Still a rockstar since I had it almost a year ago. Not much major changes on the Mi Max 3 so probably will not upgrade yet.
Watching this on my Mi MAX 1, an even bigger beast from 2 years ago, I agree this isn't a worthy upgrade, was hoping for SD660 inside, 636 is just a small upgrade.
i finally reached a conclusion! i will buy the Mi Max 3! Pocophone lost due to the notch. I have been using HEAVILY mi max 1 for 2 years now and its a completely professional tool. It still works as fine as day 1, but its time for a change. Hope the 3 will keep me company another 2 years.
@@NikosNikou this is coming from a Mi MAX 1 user, I think its too early to upgrade as the difference between 1 and 3 aren't worth the 300$, you should just get to the high end segment if you need an upgrade, or wait for a year for a worthy upgrade in the midrange. I am just worried you're going to waste the money on a slight upgrade.
I went from Samsung Note 4 to Mi Max 3. Even tho the Mi has a dual camera, the Note is much better on zoom. I like how bright the Mi's pictures are in low light. Second thing that makes me cringe a bit is that the screen is good, but not even close to the Note's. The battery on Mi is a beast! I listen to music in work(speaker), the internet is always on, facebook, instagram, etc and somehow I still manage to get home with around 60-70% battery. Another thing to consider is that if you get used with the size of it, you won't be easily going back on a smaller phone. The Note 4 seem such a small phone now. Overall you can't go wrong with this phone considering the price and the battery.
@@lp4evaandeva you do have to consider that the Mi Max 3 is entry-medium level tho. The quality of it doesnt come close to the new Note 9 for exemple, but the phone itself is decent. If you don't care about the new features than go for Xiaomi. The battery on the phone is unreal!! The other companies should learn from Xiaomi 😃
I like your videos Andrew. Last year it was important for me to purchase a Phablet like Max 2 and your review helped me a lot. I think not a big upgrade has been done on Max 3 and for this reason Xiaomi didn't released it offically in India. Max 2 still available in their official site. A very good large display, battery and sound from a Chinese manufacturer I have ever seen at this price point.

It is a surprise to see Xiaomi growing that fast internationally. Five or six years ago they are just toys for geeks back home here, definitely not some reputable telecom stuffs got famed by youtubers or KOLs.....
I bought the global version of this phone on ebay for 269 US dollars one month ago, and I have to say this is the best decision I have ever made when it comes to cell phones buying. The screen, the camera, the sound quality, the price and the speed are all great. The battery life has been unreal, with me getting close to full three days. I am in NY using tmobile, and LTE signal has been excellent on band 4 mostly. I wish band 12 was built into the phone which would have helped for those spots deep into some buildings. One thing to be aware of, though, the phone comes with voice over LTE deactivated. The problem with that is the calls quality can be spotty. I was often losing signals in the middle of phone conversations. However, once I activated volte in the settings, it made a world of difference. So, no more dropped calls. To activate volte, you will need to go to settings and select Sim card and mobile network. Then select T-mobile or whatever provider you have. Scroll down and tap volte to activate. Great job with the review. You have positively reinforced my views on the phone.

Does this phone have the ‘split screen’ function where you can use two apps at the same time? Can you use the split screen when you put the phone to the side in landscape?
I've never held a phone of this size but after my LG G6 bit the dust, it's the only device I could find under $400 CAD with a huge battery, good SoC, nice screen, headphone jack, Type-C, and MicroSD support. Can't wait for it to arrive!
Your going to love it.After update it to MUI 10 it is even more of a beast, so smooth.Definitely the best phone of the year with the greatest battery life.
Only problem with the Honor Note 10 is no headphone port. Can't plug it into my car, my headphones (obv), my speakers in my bathroom. No headphone jack is an absolute deal breaker for me.
Can someone who's using it on AT&T tell me what bands you're using, with the LTE Discovery app? I'm on bands 2 & 17 here, so looks like I won't be able to get LTE for the Mi Max 3 here (near Atlanta). Thanks.

Super rzecz. Mam od roku MiMax2, o troche niższych parametrach i mniejszym ekranie(6,44"). Jest rewelacyjny. I jakościowo i w pracy. Nie mam żadnych zastrzeżeń. Teraz czekam az będzie dostępny w Polsce. Te trochę ponad 300$ to niewiele. Wychodzi niespełna 1100 na nasze. Myslę, że jednak będzie kosztował 1500 PLN co najmniej. TEŻ BIORĘ.

Same decision here... As I have last year's Mi Max 2 I'm not sure the Max 3 is enough of a change so the Honor would be a better choice.. but not sure I want to spend the money...
@@markfern I have P20 pro, so it would be a very big downgrade for the camera, but I can't handle small phones after I had Mi Max 2 and mediapad x2 before it
@@jwan_1193 yeah camera would be massive downgrade especially low light, for me camera no ultra important as I have few other phones for better low light.. normal lighting you can get by.. I like bigger displays but knowing you can get through all day with the battery and never worry about it running out is a big yes for me
@@markfern yeah I only use one phone so it will be my go to camera as well. I'm not sure whether it would be as big of a downgrade if I get the Note 10. unfortunately you don't find any comparison between P20 Pro and Note 10 yet
@@jwan_1193 in normal lighting I think the max 3 would be no problems so not much a downgrade there... I think your right the note 10 is probably the best choice here and probably worth the extra money.. again I guess the note 10 would only suffer in low light... Could you no keep the P20 and get either Max 3 or note 10 ?
I am watching this on Mi Max 1. This costs about $250 in China now at full price. I'm waiting for them to knock it down to $200 for Chinese black Friday and i'm gonna grab this one. Honor Nots 10 is double the price.
Yeah, my Mi Max 2 is doing great for now. I will wait until i see a big price opportunity to get Mi Max 3 because i am in no hurry to replace my Mi Max 2.
It depends. If you want a bigger battery, 18:9 aspect ratio (some like it some don't) and 6.9-in display then I would say go for it. But if you hare happy with the Mix Max 2, stick with it. I can say that there are many small improvements which overall makes the Mi Max 3 a worthy upgrade. I am very happy with it.
I like giant screen phones. Using Mi Max 1 Prime Model last 16 months and still going good. Would certainly go for Mi Max 3. And yes, good review.... 👍👍👍👍 LIKED SUBSCRIBED AND HIT THE BELL ICON....
