I bought one of these from a local supplier here in Thailand. Importing direct could have major taxes. Fantastic machine which I love, until it started to go wrong. The Chinese operating system would sometimes not start, which means that no picture displays. It became so frequent that I could not continue to use. It had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Now 1 month later I have no communication and a large blank screen on my wall. It is a major consideration when looking at this relatively new tech. Great review which does highlight these points.

Hi, this is fantastic! I am thinking of making one for my room too. One question, regarding the tray holding the projector, why don't you put the tray on sliding rails so the tray can be slid into the table after use? Now the tray seems sticking outside. Thanks!

Wish you would have shown the install. Where does the screen have to be positioned, same with the projector, etc.? And how to make fine tuning adjustments to center things vertically and horizontally.

Hi sir I watched all your videos regarding projectors, i thought of buying VAVA projector but it's not available in INDIA, SO i am planning to get a Mijia 4k projector which is in my budget like $2800 here in india which comes for the price tag of VAVA in us and can you please clarify my doubt, Can we use a normal projector screen with good quality with mijia 4k projector in a dedicated dark home theatre room for editing suite? I don't want to buy ALR screen because there is no ambient light coming in to t room?

that's why. the bigger the screen the less lumens there are. brightness is distributed to more surface. i think 120 inches is the right choice but not more than that

Question re audio outputs: if you choose HDMI ARC, will you lose native projector speakers? In other words, if you use HDMI or the SPDF output, you won't be able to use projector as you front center speakers?

Yes you loose the speakers, you have the choice of internal speakers or ARC.

Yes most 4k projectors use pixel shift to achieve 4k, only a few are native 4k but they cost over $10k.

Hello, I have a problem, I bought a new spotlight, the first turn on is loading, the Mi logo then Android and the white line with the inscription shtuing down and the spotlight turns off! The remote does not work because I can’t get to the settings! since the remote is not connected yet, nothing works!

Just received mine today and that high pitch noise is driving me crazy. Much louder then my 5 old Optoma projector. I will contact the seller and probably ask for a refund.

Hey man.. can you do an ownership review of the 4K ust projector? I bought mine for a few months now and I have white spots on my xiaomi mijia 4K ust projector screen.. I notice one spot at first but the following week there’s like 8 plus spots in and around the screen.. do you have this issue? Hope you can help us find solutions as many of us who bought this projector have the same problems

Hello. I just got mine today in the mail. However it says 200-240v on the bottom of the device. Just like yours. Did you use any power transformer or it’s ok to just plug in on the 110v wall ?

I tried 15 DLP link glasses, the green tinge was still visible with the glasses on, in some models only on the sides. and other models on the top or the bottom, very very annoying, and the white became pink very bad color accuracy, I sent it back, a shame, it was sharp and smooth 3D but very bad color accuracy.

What about the height I have a tall stereo cabinet I was looking at a 120 inch screen is there hight adjustments for hight I would have about 5 inches from the bottom of my screen where this laser would sit on

Gary Webster , the front left and right feet can screw in or out to make micro height adjustments (more to level it). To adjust height, you’d really have to lower feet of your cabinet or find an alternative solution (I built a sliding shelf on top of my center shelf which was lower and can pull it out)

Also make. Sure they are DLP link glasses. The ones for your tv won't work. I picked a couple Bablov glasses on ebay for 15 bucks. They work great on my Xiaomi projector.
