Thank you for all the videos on the 6100. I like all the short bite size videos that get direct and to the point. I’m really interested in this radio, however far from being ready for prime time. Hopefully they will fix everything in firmware...I’m going to wait...
@@temporarilyoffline cable works in auto mode - change bands and the first press of PTT initiates auto tune -= however moving frequencies inside that band does not trigger an auto tune - not a biggies on smaller width bands - let me dig out the MM and draw a pinout
If you have access to a lab599 TX-500, I would love to see it connected to the XPA125b with explanation of the needed connections/interface. It may be simple but I'm still learning and I want to keep the "smoke in" both of my machines. May be a good video idea to make the XPA125b even more useful.
Now in early 2023, and with the new L4001 cable....how well does the X6100 and XPA125B work together? I just bought a 6100 and I'm considering an amp for when I really want to make contacts in the field. Thanks, Michael
Awesome! I built out a L4001 cable from scratch in another video. Big Caution here: The "NC" wires are in fact connected, so if you haven't put those cables snugged away safely, take a second. I burnt out my amp when it was OFF and one of the wires grounded. Replaced 2 parts and we're back in business! Video coming out soon.

Something is missing. We know the radio is putting out good power because you tested that already. Wonder why the amp isn't seeing it? The amp should be sensing that via coax, do you have a bad patch cable from the radio to the amp?
@@temporarilyoffline I was thinking the coax patch, but think you are right with the ALC. It's a great experiment for sure! Is there anything for pin outs in the manual, or is that going to have to wait till Radiodity makes a manual like they did for the G90?
