Hey David, I love your videos and podcasts, the information you have provided has proved invaluable. There are a few discord servers for Xmas lighting but none of them are particularly active, do you have a discord server or is it something you have considered to form a community?

I'm not really interested in doing a discord at this time (I don't have time to take on anything new), and there are loads of Facebook groups that are VERY active in the community. Do you have a video in reference how to make the singing faces that you use. I absolutely love them and gonna start putting something small together this year based off of your videos. I really want to make and use them in my display.

Hi, How did you get the dark mode in xlights?

I believe you have to be in Windows 11, and you can then enable it in the settings.

I think I am doing the process correctly. Xlights 2023.13, FPP 6.0.1 I select FPP connect and it shows your files. I modified one of my sequences in Xlights so I want to upload the update to FPP. I select the chk box for the file and click Upload. Xlights comes back with "Preparing Configuration" and the updated sequence does not upload to FPP. Looks like something needs configured. Sent this to Xlights forum I found out how to blow up Xlights. This is my third year and I have always Drag & Drop my sequences and audios to FPP. I am using Xlights 2023.13 and FPP 6.0.1. David on "Learn Christmas Lighting" had a video on using FPP Connect to move files from Xlights to FPP. Though I would give it a try. In FPPConnect, I select a file, have Media box checked and click on Upload. It hangs. Have to restart Xlights to get back in. Did some testing and found that as long as the Media box is not checked, the sequence transfers. Did more research and found that I have two directories with audio files. One is 2020xlights/show/audio and the other directory is 2020lights/audiofiles. In FPPConnect, the audio files are scattered between the two directories. I think when the sequence can not find the related audio file, it locks up the system. I can always Drag& Drop files into FPP, but would like to fix my problem with the audio files. FPPConnect would be nice to use if I can get it to work correctly.

Got an answer from the Xlights forum. Upgraded to FPP 6.3.3 and all transfers work now. Froam Forum.... There has been a ton of work and updates to the fpp connect code this year. 6.0.1 fpp is quite old and has many issues as well. It would be recommended to update to either 6.3.2 fpp or 7.1.

Was running FPP 6.3.2 and was getting some weird transfer names. They ended in .patch.0. Upgraded to OS FPP7.1 and now files transfer with correct names.
