though I had some problem with sea water It also ru-vid.comUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Xp didn’t disappoint with its Deus II (at least not me), and certainly neither did you Gary with your presentation. Before I bought my XP One I watched all your videos about the machine, I just loved it. Looking forward to share the same learning journey with the Deus II with you :)
As always, Gary has another great video. The anticipation for the Deus II is really building. Thanks to XP for another great machine and to Gary for another great presentation.
Great video Gary! I can't wait to get one so I can learn from your videos and also share tips that I've discovered on my channel. This looks to be an amazing machine. Well done!
Discovering this video, my tong falled like the Tex Averys wolfs one falled when appeared the singing Pin-up.. This simple global explaination immediatly shows how XP jump with Deus II on the highest step with ease and control. And what is now possible with such a technologic level seems to allow almost everything with a métal detector. I cant wait for your future videos, points of wiew and precious advises around this New machine. Thank you
Being able to nail down one freq and use all the machine power is unreal for cherry picking, also looking forward to the Bone conduction headphones under water. Will be interesting to see all the coils that will be made for this machine.
Great Detector but not mine. I Love my Deus 1 with my HF Coil. I am not diving at all and I have the MI6 and the WD 4 Heatphone. Won't get the Money I spend so I will keep the Deus 1.
First D2 video Gaz and what a super introduction it is. Absolutely love the Tone features adjustments mate. That square mode is a bit special I think. Congratulations to XP 👍
Discrimination in Deus has been extended from 0 to 99 to -6.4 to 99 - great, but... I've reported it several times to XP, and no changes, I can see Deus II being the same. Why the Target ID is from 0.0, the Tones settings is from 0.0, Notch is from 0.0? This should all be possible to set from -6.4! Such an oversight is a huge loss of utility - especially when searching for meteorites or ceramics. :(
its amazing! i cannot wait till there is a sponsor who wants me to promote a xp machine, i don't care if it is a deus 1 or 2 or a orx, i just love the xp detectors! love the video! well done!
i hope it will be better.. I'm using 20-yr old Minelab multifrequency Sovereign and it tells when it's bottlecap. I still dig them cos i'm stupid though lol.
Great video Gary, machine looks/sounds fantastic. Was waiting all the way through to watch you pull out the gold stater you posted on Facebook... lol. Maybe the next one
As always Gary, impressive! I heard you state that the Bone conductive headphones can be used on dry land. For those of us who are a bit "long in the tooth" do you think they might help with hearing issues, i.e. more clarity of signals? Looking forward to all of the help your will be providing to us, mere mortals of the detecting world.
I’ve been using Aftershokz bone conduction headphones for a couple of years now. Good for joggers and cyclists as they don’t cover your ears so you can still hear what’s going on around you. The downside is that you can also hear wind noise. They are great for some people with hearing difficulties (like me) as the sound does not need to travel down the ear canal as the vibrations magically turn into sound in your head. If you have the volume too loud it can tickle your skull a little but I find that wearing ear bud style ear defenders makes the sound from bone conduction headphones much louder so you don’t need to have them turned up as loud. I hope this information helps 👍
Fastest 11 minutes ever. If there are future vids, when is this going to ship? Ordered one early. Hoping to get it before Christmas. Heading to FL and would love to use it on the beach. Nice vid G.. My local SAMS club have Bone Conductive headphones for sale. I tried them. Couldn't believe I had nothing in my ears, it was that clear.
What we want to know is the reason why we would need to invest in the Deus II when we already have a Deus I. I do not dive and I do not detect on beaches. Multi-frequency Deus II versus mono-frequency Deus I inland.
In theory you will be able to find more in a single sweep, and there are more advantages off MF, like explained, it can run more stable. The tone options are great also.
@@alfasud1972 Enough with theory! Now, the machine can be tested. As about tones, I know Gary likes to play with tones and he just demonstrated that in this first video (how could he not?). That is really not what will determine my choice to purchase this new machine. Does Deus2 outperforms Deus 1?
Am I right in assuming that Deus 2 coils and wireless headphones are different and my current original Deus coils being a 13 inch and a 9.5 inch elliptical are incompatible with Deus 2? If so, having owned my original Deus since February 2019, I am left feeling like it's like any other company wherein you sell current to get new one rather than online updating and I am not in the least impressed. However, if the Deus 2 controller can use my current coils and WS4s and I only have to replace the box, it isn't quite as bad.
The original DĒUS has been out for many years and had free software updates, instead of having to buy a new machine every few years as technology improved. The DĒUS II is an entirely new machine and requires the use of FMF coils, and will not be compatible with the older DĒUS coils or headphones. However, the MI-6 pinpointer will be compatible with the DĒUS II 👍
@@gregpchandyman7825 I bought mine in 2015 or 2016 and updated it twice. I think there were 2 or 3 updates prior to that, but they are shipped with the latest one at the time.
Ayup Gary, brilliant introduction to this machine, very much love the customisation of tones! Heres a question for you, if and when I get this machine I will be searching my done to death English pasture fields with the aim of picking up targets I may of missed with my ORX. What setting would you recommend for UK pasture? Cheers, Gareth
Early days Gareth, so far I have 3 custom programs in the pipeline. Factory programs do a good job, we are going to stick with those for a while. General and Park works well for me on pasture.
@@The-skillschool Coin Fast on the ORX was always my go to setting over Coin Deep and its been very fruitful to me over the last 3 years. Looking forward to a new chapter in my metal detecting path..
Great video and can't wait for it to hit stores. I do have a question, does the deus 2 remote control also work with the WSA 2 headphone? Or does the WSA 2 only work as a slave on the WS6?
@@The-skillschool thanks for the response gary. So if I have the FMF disk, control box Deus 2 and only as headphone the WSA 2 then I can use all possibilities. Or can I do more with the control box Deus 2 and the ws6 combination? And is the backlight adjustable in brightness? Then why is only the set offered with the WS6 in the store?
I'm thinking very seriously of getting a Deus2. Due to my location which is South Florida within 30 minutes of the Atlantic Ocean, and local politics making it illegal to Hunt Parks and fields in this County, I hunt primarily beaches. How would you rate the Deus2 as a beach detector?
Thanks Gary. Have great results with Deus 1......away from massively aluminium contaminated beach. All kinds, foil, slivers, blobs like chunks, cans, ring tabs. I dig it all, easy in sand. Tried many settings. Just too conductive in its many forms. 60's to 85. Figure if I can crack a type of discrimination to separate out aluminum but not other metals I'll make a fortune. Yeah right. Anyway, thanks for the showing.
That's the primary reason I never owned the Deus....It would't work good for my beach hunting.... But, now the day has come.....I always had a hunch that some day XP would get in the market to compete against other machines for beach use.
Hello Gary. In December I bought an Orx, and I have a Deus I remote ordered. I loved how the remotes, the shafts, and the coils are all interchangeable on these two machines. Is the Deus II also interchangeable with the Orx, and Deus I shafts, and coils? Thank you
Just purchased the WSA 11 XL headphones. I have them paired to my Deus 2 and can hear the remote but not the coil. Must I pair these headphones to the coil? My WS6 headphones work as they should. Thanks
Nice taster. The question is does it relegate the Deus 1 to the detector graveyard? I’m not yet convinced. Definitely a more versatile machine (if you want to hunt beaches or underwater). I’ll be very interested to see how it performs in the field against its older brother.
