The Narrative of Japan being a victim is so stupid, people simply glossed over the fact that Japan killed tens of millions of asians, but when japan suffered hundred thousands in Nagasaki and Hiroshima it's suddenly too far.
@@ffuuu2018 To these people the fact Japan made anime gives them a pass and their modern day culture is seen as innocent and playful despite the many older Japanese in power not acknowledging the Nanjing massacre happened and continue to hold racist beliefs

As a half-Japanese, the nukes were the best option for Japan. The alternatives - a US/USSR invasion or continuous firebombing - would have been much worse for the Japanese people. The shock and awe of these bombs was basically a wake-up call for Japanese leadership that they were going to lose the war.
Anyone who thinks the Atom bombs dropped on Japan was too far are some of the dumbest people on earth. They would rather have America invade mainland Japan which was projected to have up to 10 million casualties and the Soviets would also invade and who knows what conflicts would happen if the Soviets split Japan with America
@@Demon__Killer007 the united states could never hope to invade Japan and succeed. Soviets maybe depends on the Japanese navy after winning against the Americans. Most likely the Soviets would win but with 7x higher causuties. Even though the atomic bombs stopped over 10 million deaths it is still a war crime.
America had two options. Drop nukes until Japan gets the message and surrender or a full-on land-invasion similar to the Normandy landings, except more brutal and bloody since all Japanese people were gonna fight to the last man, woman, and child.
@@dankengine5304 i mean to be fair.. 50 or so years from now, your grandchildren would say the same thing when you tell them you survived a world pandemic in the 2020s. They wouldn't believe it themselves, but you know deep in your heart it's true.. cause it happened to you and not them
@@Meechell 100% agree. Honestly, as fucked as this might sound, this is a pretty decent outcome considering the possibilities. We were eventually bound to have a worldwide pandemic happen at some point, and out of all the potential diseases that could've caused said pandemic, I'd personally take a moderately strong virus with a decently low case fatality rate. I mean compare covid to an H5N1, Ebola, or superbug pandemic; these are things that would probably literally lead to the total collapse of human civilization as we know it. Yes the many people who have died from covid or lost loved ones because of it are indeed tragic and I'm not saying that we shouldn't do anything about the virus, but when you consider the possibilities, I personally think that we got incredibly lucky.
i like how when japan and Germany commit atrocities the chat doesn't care but when America drops the nukes the whole chat starts malding i swear people just have a vendetta against America
28:56 That music really did set the tone for the nukes that were going to be dropped soon. It really gave me a disturbing vibe for two nuclear bomb jpegs to flash up and disappear. Seriously though, props to however made that WWII oversimplified video, you made that segment really disturbing for me at least.
True although it's a bit different at the beginning making it seem as if the usa kicking the japanese out of china was the big bad us bullying poor japan without mentioning the absolutely vile things the japanese did when they invaded china some of it even puts the war crimes of the SS to shame
@@mr.mangles8730 didn't Korea also get fucked by japan in that war? if not it probably was some other war. Japanese back then were the Japanese version of Christopher Columbus for centuries except they never found new land they just bullied the same Asian country's for centuries.
@@muchneededwater5936 Japan was absolutely evil in Korea, they killed over a million people there. And that’s not even mentioning all the Korean women they forced into becoming spirit girls for the Japanese army, absolutely disgusting.

i mean there were some parisians that was obviously against german occupation but still lived their lives normally (mostly thanks to the fact paris itself barely sustained any damage during the war). he was nearly corr3ct about paris falling and everyone else is okay with it. not everyone in france joined the resistance
Chief_exe by the time the Germans reached Paris The French government surrendered and Frances most experienced and well equipped armies were wiped out in the encirclement the Germans created so there wasn’t really anyone left to stop the superior German forces.
Chief_exe mb kinda misread the comment of course the French weren’t gonna be happy but what more can they do. The Germans were very lenient on the French compared to what they did the the poles, Yugoslavs and soviets after occupation because the French weren’t untermensch so why fight them when they can very easily wipe out an entire people’s group, and the French really didn’t have open rebellion towards the German occupation or take part in heavy partisan activities because that would mean execution life was somewhat "normal" for them after the defeat so why change.
For the uneducated: The atomic bomb did not end the war. It helped but not end it. The Russian invasion in Manchuria was what actually ended World War 2.
When you realize if an enemy nation captures your capital in real life that the country falls isn't that hard. He was right about all other places not just instantly turning "german" but the only real target that mattered in the fight against France was Paris, that is where the government convenes, where most officials live, and where the majority of their government archives are kept if not all at the time. Without your top Government heads there is no France, even if they Vichy France it was just a figure headed government to cool heads in the country-side. Paris was basically a big nation on its own as the population was huge and the Parisians knew how the Germans were so the revolts of Paris got gradually worse and worse especially once they knew Germany was taking big losses in the overall war.
to answer no they did not turn france into germany 2.0...many French died fighting back post the fall of france in camps and as rebellions....108,000 to be exact more than had fell during the battle of france and thats just military
Why the hell is chat weird-champing na when Japan did some atrocities even worse than what the us and nazis did and if they had keep continuing up the Japanese mainland than there would most likely been millions of more deaths than what Hiroshima and Nagasaki did
idk a lot believe it was not needed or justified which i disagree with cause the japanese had no qualms to surrender and the war would have gone a lot longer.
@@dentonkellyjr8095 this is just my opinion and feel free to argue with it but even if it didnt need to happen it NEEDED to happen it showed just how evil nuclear weapons were the devastation the after effects and a clear indicator of how fucked everyone would be if an all out nuclear war were started and lived in the back of the minds of anyone that might have thought of using nukes in the post ww2 conflicts like in the Korean war
A land invasion of Japan would’ve been FAR more deadly for soldiers and civilians alike. The Japanese were even preparing their women and children to fight until death. Their no surrender mentality really brought it on themselves, at least Germany had some notion of when to surrender
Honestly you could have put completely unrelated xQc cam footage in the top corner and it would be more expressive. I'm not sure this even counts as reacting.

Actually it did, it just wasn't the same organization yet. The allies sometimes refered to themselves as the united nations after 1942 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Declaration_by_United_Nations
Likely the same. Stalingrid was a herculean task to defeat and the soviets were bringing backup. Even if he won, he would still need to push forward while the US and UK rushed Italy meaning he would need to take Moscow before the allies breezed through Italy.
