hi i installed a dual plate clutch on my mx5, and it works fine but my question is iff its normal that when i'm driving and i am in some gear and every time i release the throttle i can hear a plate grinding for a few seconds and this sound sometimes also occurs when accelerating, most often around 3000rpm. is this normal for this type of clucht or its better i should have it checked? thanks in advance greetings gio
Hi, It is normal to hear that rattle in many twin plate clutches that have a floating intermediate plate. Different clutch kits will result in different amounts of rattle. Is the clutch one of our Xtreme Clutch units?
Hi, It is unusual to have this type of rattle when the pedal is not pressed. If you could please email sales@australianclutch.com.au with some further details including the vehicle make, model, engine and year as well as the manufacturer and type of clutch that you have, our friendly sales team will be able to discuss this with you and see if it is an issue with the clutch type or whether it is just an attribute of that particular vehicle/clutch setup. Thanks

Hi guys. I have one of your clutch’s on a LS3. Is it normal for the clutch to also rattle a bit on/off throttle when it’s fully engaged? I think You can hear it in this vid at 5:05 onwards but not sure if it’s clutch or gearbox (both brand new): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PUWfFeVFNuE.html
