Here's another table, this time it is a router/plasma combo. I took a different approach and made the gantry the longer axis to enable easier loading and un-loading of materials. The routing area is slightly larger than 2400x1200mm and the plasma side is about 800x1200mm.
I have cantilevered the main tube through the gantry side and added a 2nd Y-car. This keeps the 2 areas slightly away from each other and I can switch over from routing to plasma cutting in seconds.
The plasma side can also be used for welding. It's very easy to tap into the mig trigger wire to control the on/off with G-code and build an adapter to hold a mig torch.
