Wow the game looks incredible! I didn't know Nick was in this game! I also love how they have the Canadian legendary commentary Mauro Ranallo in this game! Awesome stuff brother!
They had a nice roster.. Had guys like jason mayhem miller and bas rutten.. Plus they did frequent touneys that would be broadcast with actual live commentary.. It was crazy
They wanted to capture it well back then when he was active...UFC 4 doesn't care about nick Diaz fight style..maybe he gets an upgrade after his upcoming fight
It’s what I’ve been saying for years EA sports should go back and look at that game and use it as a template for the next edition. It’s like after they made mma they got LAZY when the got the contract.
@@serdavezilla6494 I bought a 360 copy on Amazon yesterday and I was able to get fight night champion backwards compatible so I’m gonna seriously pray that it is
I absolutely love this game. The venues, rule sets, old school fighters, in depth stats, sub system and my all time favorite is the DAMAGE SYSTEM. Fights can literally end in a flash if landed cleanly. The blood on fighters and the mats after a long grueling fight is just satisfying. Even the way fighters drop after getting hit Ko'd or knocked down was gorgeous to watch. This was truly an authentic MMA game and by far my favorite MMA game of all time outside UD 3.
This game was so fun online for the 11 months it was available. The gameplay felt as natural as an somewhat arcadey MMA Game could feel is the best way to describe it. I like how could rush with a flurry of punches in the first few seconds and get a KO if you catch the off guard. But if they get their bearings back they can really make you pay for it. Also once you get the feel of it, The striking, clinching, takedowns and defense flowed in a way not seen before or since. The MMA Gods decided we aren't worthy of an EA MMA 2.
Yea the only mma game that i had a one punch flash ko within seconds online. I love how someone could get koed stiff if they came out to aggressive spamming. And the parrying system was the best in this game
Came here to say this. EA MMA was one of the only fighting games I've played online because it was really pretty random in a fun way. I loved the streamed showcase fight nights where they had announcers. I was very disappointed when they just shut down the servers so quick, and now no one can get any of those achievements. If you know you are going to shut down the online portion so quickly then you shouldnt make a good chunk of achievements about the online game.
I love that they made Nick unique instead of having regular punches. They need to do that with everyone. They also need to do that more nowadays. Every Fighter should feel unique. Great Video Martial
@@whatisthisthing7465 man everyone keeps bringing that game up… its not doin it for me. Its not mma.. its not fighting… it is boxing.. pretty cool but not feelin it.. ill play it but it doesn’t replace mma for me.
@@codymachado Don't get me wrong, I'll probably still be playing ufc 3 when it comes out. Maybe I'm biased because I love fight night champion. But a proper next gen fighting game with a studio that's putting some real effort into it be it boxing or mma, I'm hype.
@@codymachado I’m a bigger MMA fan than anything else and never watch boxing. But I’d much rather play a quality boxing game than a shitty mma game and we only have shitty mma games recently.
I remember picking this game up on a bargain, $5.00 brand new! I wasn’t expecting much going into it, but was amazed. I think of this game more than UFC’s entries and that says a lot!
I somehow created a CAF that would wreck Fedor and got this achievement pretty easily. This was also the game I did a lot of celeb CAFs because of Game Face and whatever names you could choose. I know I had both LaVar Burton and Jack Burton (Kurt Russell) and my own face on CAF. That was fun.
@@SuperSohSo It was ok, a little uncanny valley but it was like a rough digital cartoon version of your face. I found it more fun to grab celeb images and use those, I think I only made a couple with my face for CAFs because it was just a little too weird
This was my favorite mma game till EA UFC 3. Everyone talk about how good was Undisputed 3 but i am on the other side. Striking is very sluggish in all Undisputed games. EA MMA was like a fresh breath.
@@sukhdevr3489 ufc 2 was the first game i got on my bday a few years back loved it ever since the rag doll physics were pretty funny given the right ko
The undisputed games were great because of attention to detail and the ground game. The striking was rough though, it felt like I was always winging hooks. You have to let go of the left stick to throw jabs and straights and you never connect with those. The striking in ufc 4 is the best it’s been but that’s about the only good thing from the game.
Idk what your smoking because the striking in ea mma looks so sluggish, wonky, clumsy and looks like absolute shi+. Should've just copied fight night champions jab, straight, hooks, and uppercut animations. Undisputed 3 has way better striking animations and a better and more deeper system. And yea, I know people don't really like the system where you need to move to throw hooks and you need to stay still to throw JABS and straights, but everything else in ud3 made it the greatest mma/ufc game of all time. The striking, grappling, realism, mechanics, ground and pound, submissions, ragdoll knockouts, doctor stoppages, ground tko's, etc.
You’re crazy. Undisputed 3 shits on ea mma forsure. It has a way better striking system and knockouts. Career mode is way deeper with pride being a career route and it looks better so really ea mma has nothing on it
The replays, hit response animations, intro sequences, body types & submission game are still miles ahead of UFC 4. I also like how there’s no knockdowns every 20 secs
This game was such a blast. The fighter damage looked so real. Vale tudo rules were so sick. The KO ragdoll was awesome too! Movement definitely floaty and ground game was real simple, but it was fun as heck.
I will never get why these same devs make UFC 4 a rock fest. I love the feeling of a well timed counter and finishing someone early. It feels like that happens on occasion and not as a norm in UFC 4. Flash KOs and shit like that got me into watching MMA in the first place!
I loved this game, I got it when it first came out n just found my copy of it today. I had a couple fights for the first time in like 7 yrs n while I could barely remember the controls cause my natural instinct is to do what I'd do in current UFC games....It was still so fun to play, I love the striking n remember at the time it was so cool to have an MMA game that wasn't based on one company like a UFC roster n while StrikeForce is the main licensed brand, you have a roster of fighters, rings/cages n rule sets from around the world.
This game actually made me a hardcore mma fan. I was barley a mma fan at the time of the games release, but I played this game around 2015, and I got addicted. The career mode was awesome.
I know IM checking in late but for sure a career mode. You do such an OUTSTANDING job I look forward to your content like I did Friday night fights back in the day.
My favourite mma game of all time and the only one where i felt like an all round mma fighter where i was comfortable in every area of the fight, damn i wish i could play this again.
EA MMA was a super underrated game. Actually wish I could go back and play it. The career mode was probably the most enjoyable on any MMA game for me. Being able to progress through different level promotions and fight under different rule sets 🙌🏾
It’s so nice hearing frank shamrock commentating. I miss this games career. Having bas as your coach and being able to choose which organizations you go into next
This was a very solid game. It’s crazy because the depth was not really there as far as moves. But it was still fun and had the best “Vulnerability system” and sub system imo. The flash KO’s were great and not overdone and you’d still have plenty of decisions. The rules you can use. The sub system actually felt like a sub battle between man vs man and not man vs man vs machine. And the rating REALLY mattered. You weren’t gonna win a fight on the feet too easily with guys like Aoki. You had to fight to the fighters strengths. All of this made the game pretty damn good.
i played over 1000 ranked fights in this. the top 100 in this always fought each other too in fight cards. i remember we would have grand prix cards. so much bragging was had lol but what i loved was people would always help each other train to get better. my fav mma game yet.
I loved this game back 2010. Multiplayer was bad ass. I wasn't that good but i could hold my own. i beat a top ranked player one time it was def one of my best gaming moments ever. Luv to see a play through. Brings back some fond memories.
Whenever I played as Alistair Overeem and went against I think Bobby Lashley on Legend, I got like 5 to 7 one-punch knockouts, as in, first punch KO. Loved this game.
You know what tbh for being back then this is pretty good I think I took it for granted like Diaz the way he threw and just threw those pop shots it was very much like it lol almost like slap punches lol
@@sergioguarino7013 or remaster UFC Undisputed 3 or gives us 4 that would absolutely outsell EA's UFC 4 and then everybody would be happy casuals had they're game and hardcore simulation(what EA said UFC 1-4 should be😂😂👏👏) fans had they're game. Just glad the new boxing game will have a blocking system where u block 3 points on the body and 3 points on the head, by using 3 buttons. That's awesome bc it will be "too hard" for casuals and therefore shut them out. Looks like they wanna make a real boxing simulation yeah😀👍
@@sergioguarino7013 Wouldn't say better. but nearly on par. The textures are still better in the newer games, since they can process more complex graphics and patterns. But yeah if they remastered it id say it. might be better than. some of the new ufc games.
