Oh for sure! He was definitely avoiding his vitals, only going for the kill when he saw that Awano wasn't going to be moved any other way

@@jimmythecaterpillar I personally interpreted it as he prefers making his victims suffer, like how he didn’t kill Makoto outright, or in this case, Awano. It really shows how much of a monster he is, as supported by his character design, more so of his face.

What I gathered was none of the lieutenants really respected Dojima. Especially Kuze after Dojima got Awano to take over, and the same with Awano once he was thrown out for Shibusawa. Plus, I don't think Awano or Kuze liked that Dojima used Lao Gui, who is not only an outsider but also not Japanese, to do work for him. And Awano clearly respected Majima as a Yakuza.

Awano got reminded of what a real yakuza was after the fight, he didn't want to see a real man/yakuza like Majima die to some bullshit because Lao Gui had a gun

You must've played the early PC version that had his chinese voice (chinese version also has him look like Sam Lee) for some reason. It was fixed later.

They used Sam Lee's voice files by accident. Also I thought Lao Gui meant "Old Demon".

Good to know...ghost, demon, devil, some sort of monster, apparition, I think they can all be called as Gui（鬼）, Gui is a term that covers extensive references... generally that's the word for any abnormal and terrifying creature

I'm doing the exact opposite of SJW: my complaints are about factual inaccuracies (Lao Gui's voice and pacing don't sound Chinese despite the character being presented as Chinese) rather than depiction of unfortunate truths, and I'm stating individual, monetary decision rather than attempting to rally for regulatory/governmental intervention. if you keep mis-identifying people with a bias for truth as SJW, I bet the world causes you a lot of discontent.
