Now that I'm thinking about it. What the hell does Japan military wear for bomb defusing. America and some other countries use EOD suits. (currently new development underway) I guess they don't believe in protection so they just do it raw. Probably skilled enough without it. Not saying much because those suits are bulky and difficult to move in also causes heat stroke from lack of ventilation.
@@gytrash6167 Saw a video of someone wearing an EOD walk up to a car and open the boot, he then proceeds to take it off stating "there's 24 pounds of plastic explosives in there, if it blows no suit is gonna stop all of us getting blown to hell"
My favorite thing about this scene Kaoru met Majima ONE TIME during the game, and it left enough of an impression on her that she had a nightmare about him trying to disarm a bomb.
Twice at this point, actually. Once in Purgatory, once after he singlehandedly beat back Sengoku's men from invading Kamurocho. That second time, he almost died, and Kaoru wound up taking care of him. My question is: what on earth went down while Kiryu was gone?
@@beedubree2550 I figured it was like an alternate reality thing and Majima did the exact same thing both in the dream and in real life, but in real life it worked because Majima.
My headcanon, since Majima is still sane, and just putting an act, is that he knew all along how to defuse the bomb and just wanted to see if his man was trustworthy by making him shit in his pants.

I loved that, on my first playthrough of the series, for a few seconds after the explosion I was genuinely shocked and concerned whether Majima had just died
Majima is my hero, he used to scare the hell out of me in Kiwami 1, but I slowly realised he's just an old dog obsessed with fighting, for whom life has no greater calling then to face his rival in ceaseless combat. And he's crazy, which is a plus when you're romanticizing potential homicide.

I'm new to the series and just assumed people liked Majima so much they shoehorned him in to the story of Kiwami 1 and 2 (I haven't got past 0, K1 and 2 yet) to please the fans, since as much as he's my fav he seems a bit out of place at times. It's somehow even funnier this is in the original game, word for word
Well this poor guy was like "My Mom lives alone and if this bomb goes out and I'm gone then she'll be ruined. Also if we mess this up it'll be worse" But Majima had to go in with the "That's why we're disarming it" when Nishida was like "Boss! You could make this Bomb go off! Don't get the wrong Wires!"
