Yamaha Blaster VS Honda 300EX 

I LOVE the 300EX! First quad I learned to ride on. Pretty good machines. Still want a Blaster though......

A nice cheap upgrade for the blaster is installing a 10.3:1 compression piston along with a port n polish then installing a 34mm intake and mikuni. It will pull with taller tooth up front and 22 inch tires out Back

I had a 250x with 350x engine back in the day. Modified frame for 400ex front suspension and had 250r rear suspension. Was fun to ride

I had the chance to ride both in their new state. The blaster is more fun and zippy on tight trails even tho the suspension is harsher. The EX was more roomy giving the impression of sitting in compared to sitting on like the blaster. The EX had better suspension and was faster in the rough. At the end of day , the blaster was more tiring but on flat long enough surface it was a good 10mph faster than the EX.

Can you help me out with reed setups carb tuning and brake upgrades on first gens?

You need to tune in that carb on the blaster its idleing way to high and revs are too ongoing maybe air leak? But doubtful.. mine was doing the same thing until i turned in the carb

I had 2 blasters. One with Small tires one with big tires and I had a brand new 300ex 2004. I liked the 300 way better. I locked up the motor on the blaster so i be scared riding it on trails

Hi time machines I need some help I have a 2003 blaster great bike only bought it two weeks ago but it only seems to idle on half choke when I turn the choke off it starts to idle really high it has the tors deleted and I’ve cleaned the carb and jets thoroughly the only thing I haven’t changed is the reed gasket I don’t have a leak down tester but would you say I have a leak somewhere or just a dodgy carb? Would greatly appreciate any help I can get thanks 🙏🏽

The ol 3 hundo is a nice machine but I'd still have the Blaster.

I have noticed a few Suzuki LT250R's for sale in Texas and surrounding states here recently. Usually they are all up in the freakin far northern states, or way the F out in Kaliforni. I have not seen a nice example on the channel. It would be cool to see you get ahold of one. Even saw a Kawasaki Tacate 250 as well. Those things are rare as hens teeth. Where would we be now if these quads had been allowed to continued to evolve, when a properly build 30+ year old machine can still give a feeling a modern 4 stroke never will. Props to Yamaha who kept bringing the Banshee and Blaster for years. Maybe KTM's 2 stroke fuel injected success might inspire the Japanese to invest in something real riders want. Sure your 7 year old, and your 85 year old grandma can ride your 4 stroke. Just one of many things that have led to the pussafacation of America. But we will continue to build our own anyway. ✌🤘
