Great video Dale. Quite an involved set up on the tank cap, BSA only give you a cork ring for your money. Which reminds me, it needs replacing! I don't like the 'popular' US brand rust remover either. I've tried it and can't get on with it very well. I use citric acid chelation in the tanks. That stuff you use looks very good too. Best wishes, Dean.
Thanks Dean, there is something to be said about simplicity. I believe a cork gasket is just fine. The thing I really like about the rust remover I use; is it has an additive to stop flash rust after you remove it. Not a big deal to me, because I usually drain it and put acetone back in and slosh, then drain it. That way no water left in the tank. Completely dry in about 10 minutes. Thanks buddy.
Same way I clean out the gas tank metal rescue It works great. Also KDI is now selling the complete gas cap and it is a Exact copy of the original $60 And I mean it when I say it is an exact copy
Yes sir, metal rescue works great, and you don't get flash rust like the others. I always drain it, then put in acetone and slosh around then drain it. That way no water stays in the tank. Yes, I saw that KDI has the caps now, I started to order one, but decided to just go with the seal kit for now. Think I will grab one later for the 125 MX. Dave always has great products at a reasonable price. He must have a lot of really good contacts.
