Oh absolutely. I have had stator break down after they get hot. That is definitely a tip I need to remember to put in my next video. Thanks for the reminder Jayden Barnes.
Hi mate Love your channels Question Is the cv boot for the front driveshaft (not the axles) the same size as the outer rear boots? Also what are the size boots for the rear drive shafts? Can I use cv boots? Cheers
Great videos, I got and 05 grizzly 660 been a great bike. Has about 3600 miles on it. I know they changed some things on later years after 02 but basically the same in alot of ways. Hope too see more vids on these grizzly 660s. Much love!!
Hey Downeast Outdoors. I should be working on a 2005 660 in the next few weeks with a blow radiator hose & possible head gasket. It might take me a few weeks to get the video ready for RU-vid but keep an eye out for it.
Appreciate your videos! Thanks for previous response. I have a display issue with my coolant temperature light staying on from the time I turn the key on until I turn it off. Any thoughts? Doesn’t matter if I disconnect the thermostat sensors or the fan wiring.
I wish I could take my grizzly 660 to you several electrical issues. Two I’ve already posted questions on. The third is the terminal fuse for the auxiliary jack is grounded on one side. The second is put the fuse in it pops, but I can’t figure out the grounding issue?
It definitely sounds like you have something in the harness grounding out with all the issues you are running into. Are you sure a mouse didn't get in there & chew up some wires?
Hi my name is Julio, I have a 2003 grizzly 660 and the temp light comes on when accelerating and light turns off in idle, Any idea what can be, and what is the normal running temperature? Thanks
Absolutely. Sounds like your stator has gone south & is over charging cause you're wires to get hot & burn up the reg/rec. Make sure to buy an OEM one not a cheap Amazon one
Hi, love your videos! very informative. It would be nice if you can help me with this, would be very helpful. Thanks! So I bought a 03 grizzly 660 With no spark, when I bought it, their where three starting solenoids two laying around and one that is installed and connected and it clicks but doesn’t turn over ,to make the solenoid. Click I have to connect the two prong wires for the kill switch at the bars and the solenoid to click .and the start button is stuck so I might try to fix the stuck start button. And I’ll order a oem solenoid. Someone bypassed the fuel sender. Then the regulator rectifier was unplugged. I connected it had no spark can someone please helped me? Thanks!
Hey teslame. You need to fix the kill switch for sure & that starter button. It also sounds like you have a bad starter solenoid. if it's just clicking it sounds like it's shot. Fix the first 2 switches & get a new solenoid & test battery voltage. Hopefully that will fix your startup issues.
Thank you, starts buttons work and the kill switch, but still have no spark, maybe its the stator, but I don't know how to check and its 40 degrees. Thank you
Sorry I sure don't. I usually don't keep anything like that around. takes up to much space. Look on Amazon for tires. Some of the off brands are not that bad.
A lot of your quads, motorcycles & utvs do that on start up. Does it come back on after the atv is runni g? Does the atv start up & run? Is it having a hard time starting?
@@limitlesspowersportsservic3394 It is having a hard time starting, it’s like it loses connection for a few seconds. I haven’t found any wires chewed on , and something is draining the battery
I’ve got a 2007 grizzly 660 where I am not getting the fuel level to indicate on the display. I checked the sender unit and it show resistance change when I move the float but not on the display?
