Fan noise non existent / not noticeable to me … fingerprints … I never noticed lmao I just noticed the dust. I’m sure the fingerprints wipe off easy tho
Suppppp! Channel members can request a video! Check it out if you’d like! And I have but I REALLY don’t like it compared to what I’m coming from: the Roland Fantom
@@Khordmaster Yeah I'm in a toss up between the Montage M and Fantom 8. I like sounds of the Montage more but recoding looks SO easy with the Fantom and that's what I need it for. Also the Fantom's about a grand chapter. But that Montage man... That thing makes me feel something.
@@The.Foolosopher so well said! Yeah I have a lot to say about the differences. You pretty much nailed it. Recording on the Fantom is so straight forward!!
People kill me with their complaints of Roland’s sound when some of the dopest music was produced on Fantoms, if there are no gold records on your wall, then what difference does it make, what board you have it’s self explanatory, I have both and trust me connectivity wise Roland hands down. The fantom is a production board with multiple ways to make music, montage is a performance live platform , it’s really best to have both because they are beast in their own right
there are a lot of great sounds and a lot of meh sounds on the fantom IMO :) you have to sift through everything and favorite the ones you like. thats what im learning. join the community on patreon to continue the conversation! www.patreon.com/khordmaster
Looks like Clair de Lune? Nice. I have a Yamaha P515 for (silent) classical playing. But I must say I prefer to use my iPad with Pianoteq because I feel the internal sound is rather meh. I wonder how the piano sounds of the Montage compare? But most likely they are not as top notch as Pianoteq, Keyscape, etc? But then again the Montage is not just for Piano playing :)
interesting! I thought the piano sounds were stellar on my p515. I love that digital piano so much... I've never used pianoteq but you got me intrigued right now... piano sounds on montage are I think identical or better than the p515
Roland sound engineers and product management suck! the sounds are flat and dead, maybe the platform is capable, but the sounds are programmed so poorly that it sounds like a sample player from teh 90's. Basically what you are saying is that Fantom just doesn't sound good, so what is a musical instrument good for if it doesn't sound cool? I'm thinking about buying my Fantom 8, so disappointed in Roland and about the money I'm going to lose because this Fantom thing is a scam! Enjoy your Montage, I hope I'll be able to get one someday.
i don't think rolands sounds suck, i just like yamahas better on the montage compared to the fantom... but yeah this board is sick.. hope you're able to get one!
Jezzz, I feel like I'm back in the late 80's... Yamaha DX7 vs Roland D50! The Fantom and Montage are 2 completely different boards with completely different sound architectures. If your taste leans more towards warm lush synths, then the Montage is for you. Others prefer sounds build around high-quality instument samples. It all comes down to preference. ...even scarier, it all really comes down to chops! I remember watching a commercial with Herbie Hancock play the sh*t out of a cheap Casio. The quality of whatever sound he was playing didn't make a difference.
