Love the bike thinking of getting a 2018 MT-10 then my garage will look like your's as I also have a Victory Jackpot (2007 premium edition ) the Acro sound's really good
I bought a 2001 FZ1 brand new and loved it had it for 10 years it was the 96 th. one off the assembly line kick my self all the time for trading it in on a Grizzly . I sub'ed to your channel looking forward to your vid's
Hi Richie, thanks so much for sharing this vid. Can you please tell us whether this can has a removable DB Killer or baffle and if so, how is it removed? Thanks again
Nice, how loud is it! I added a silencer in the end, as commuting on it was driving my eardrums mental. I’ve got the XC (track) pads, they’re great. Used them for 5000km of commuting and 200km of racing at Eastern Creek, suited both situations well. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the master cylinder upgrade!
Michael Thomas, thanks for watching and you kind words . The Pads were a upgrade for sure , however the biggest difference in the braking system lies with the Master cylinder IMO. I will try and get that Video up and live ASAP . The exhaust sound is loud, but I love it none the less.
Richies Bikes that’d be great if you can put the master cylinder video up. On my page now you can see a video of my MT-10 doing a few chilled laps around Eastern Creek.
Hey Richie. Did you run the link pipe for any length of time BEFORE getting the ECU flashed? If yes, did you run the bike at full throttle? I just got the link pipe but cannot get the ECU flashed until later next week. Would be great to install and ride it this weekend before getting it flashed next week. Thanks for the great vids!
Is it much quieter than the stock can with link pipe? I just installed a link pipe and feel with the stock can it is too loud for the street and a bit raspy. Looking for less volume and more tuned exhaust note.
supafastsupra2 , it prob will sound a bit louder at first, but give it a bit of time and it will quiet down a bit ... the cross plane engine is prob the best sounding there is... enjoy it👍👌
I was looking at that bike and it just pleads come over and start doing work on me everything is just wide open and everywhere you look you see something mechanical to tear into
Hi Richie, I see that purple-ish color on the header pipes. Are they titanium? What brand are they? I really wanna upgrade mine to a full titanium system, I hate the stock header pipes on mine turning dark after 1500km
Aaron Mac , Cheers for you reply. The headers you see are the genuine R1 headers,Yes full titanium. I got my hands on a set after a buddy of mine was making a track bike out of his R1. They make a full Akrapovic system (which includes headers)for both Mt10 and R1 but the price is crazy. Check the online forums, pages on fb or eBay and I’m sure a set of these headers will pop up.
Richies Bikes Thank you for your reply Richie. They are called the 2015 R1 stock headers right? I just wanna make sure so that I can search for the right one. And do they fit perfectly with the Akra mid pipe?
