how lucky Zack"s customers! they can simply bring their toys to the shop and say "Zack do whaterver to it, when i can pick it up? " knowing it is in in safe hands. this applies to Dado Rados too.
@@650ib Please ignore the negative comments from those viewers that do.not like CF I do understand too much of it might look to be too much but those gorgeous pieces after painting them will look fantastic .I would also use the OEM upper & OEM tank just add the Air box CF cover & paint its sides silver & Blue to match the rest of the gas tank then call it a day as far as Body work .I have a question are you guys planning on using after market clip ons ? or sticking with stock. Awesome job so far
What's the benefit of removing the flapper valve in the intake? Will it affect the performance or the throttle on low speed low revs and would you need to reflash the ecu again ?
Even though i know i will never win one of these new bike build series bike..lol..I still support because i like the content and knowledge i pick up from Zack. I was able to do a tremendous amount of mods to my bike based on what i watch so far. Oh and tell Zack i got a AirHorn on my bike...LOL... My next thing is to install a button into the factory controls of a BMW S1000R. There is an empty slot next to the hazard switch but i am not sure if it can come apart. The reason for doing so is I want to install a button i can press to activate strobe warning lights. I may have to drop the bike off to Zack to let him do...lol..IDK. I was thinking that you can order a button from BMW to fill that gap and then hook up the strobes to that button etc.. Either way good content.
Try to get a carbon duct...its much nicer looking than plastic😉 and take a look of the superbike unlimited's r1 race build where they use the carbon tank extender...its much more beautiful and ergonomic than stock!
If I win this bike my team will race it! going for the win again on Pan delta championship 2019 beating world class riders make this channel more famous then it already is. Thanks for nice videos and easy explanations for everyone to understand
Love these videos 650ib! If I could change or comment on one thing, it'll be great to have Zack's voice captured more clearly. When you're close to him, like at 6:26, the voice quality goes up quite a bit and it's great. Is there any way you can put a mic of some sort on Zack and sync the audio in editing? Thanks my good buddy!
Idk about Yamaha but I did the flapper delete on my Zx10r and Kawi offers factory plugs to clean up the entire process . No hole in the intake , and plugs all vacuum lines.
I'm trying to get in the raffle to win this bike. I was a patron on the S1000rr that came with the trailer but unfortunately I am not in as stable of a financial situation. But if there is a way to get in the raffle I would like to know how. Thanks. Keep up the SICK videos and hope to maybe see you at the track someday.
The other day I watched an install of some backing plates in the air box I think thinking that was restrictive now a flapper valve! What's next to restrict this bike?
Flapper is to meet intake noise regulations mainly, low end is secondary. Exhaust flapper is for low end torque first, but also noise regulations. A good replacement for the stock intake, upper stay, and dash mount is the aftermarket intake/stays from dbholders and tighttails. Nick Marino is a good tuner and can disable the flapper in the flash. The biggest problem with the stock stay is that they crack even in a mild tipover. You do not need to speed up the throttle at all really. But the domino's longer cables are a necessity on the R1 because aftermarket clipons get in the way of the stock cables. I race with domino throttles from Motomillion using the stock cam. Examples on my R1s: www.johnmckown.com/media/r1/tighttails.png www.johnmckown.com/media/r1/tighttails2.png www.johnmckown.com/media/r1/dbholders.png www.johnmckown.com/media/r1/dbholders2.png
The original concept EXUP valve was to make low end torque by being able to manipulate "header length" and backpressure profile, I'm not certain, but a flapper at the very end of the exhaust I suspect to be mostly noise regulation.
Yeah my stock upper stay cracked when i accidently dropped the bike in my garage. Isnt the dbholder stay for racing only? Does it still work with headlights and mirrors/turn signals?
@@650ib Im still a little unsure what this mod really should do given that it only effects it during idling? Its gonna open once you ride it right? Or am I missing something here?
I was thinking minimal paint work on the carbon. I'd say paint all the blue on, and maybe a bit of silver here and there... something that has yet to be done.
great video. one question: you are giving away this bike. Is this opportunity available only for USA people or you can export it to any part of the world?
Seems overboard to me. Your bike your preference though. I love my stock R1 it’s beautiful enough. Akrapovic full system and flashed ECU is as far as I went and as far as I would go.
Upgrading is fine to a point. When i see a BMW M6 and someone puts aftermarket rims on it the entire car is cheapened. Remove the emissions stuff, get a new exhaust system, fender eliminator and what more does it need? But yeah to each their own.
Flapper removal really doesnt do anything. The flapper is there to smooth out the intake air charge to match the amount of fuel being injected to the throttle bodies...without the flapper all you have is an opening. It does not increase the amount of air flow that is still controlled by the throttle bodies.....just an fyi
@@lametraserillos1 Yes the intake flapper is for noise and it has control over the amount of air coming in to the airbox. All the superbikes in wsbk dont use intake flappers so its best to think they dont improve power. Emissions and noise regulations are strict so devices like this are common. I removed mine and I saw A marginal gain case closed
@@crossplane9894 All superbikes on the track do not have to be road driven either. All they care about is high rpm running. And they also do everything possible to remove cumbersome and complex parts that serve little purpose to make teardowns simple and fast as possible. removing this on a road bike is NOT going to give you 5whp like was mentioned earlier. I would not suggest anyone that is paying out of pocket for labor to do this.
Painting Carbon Fibre Kinda takes away from the fact it's Carbon Fibre, Though I agree it wouldn't really tie in with being left "as is" All the same, I prefer the Matte finish when Carbon Fibre is the medium. Just sayin' .
Your welcome.. i really respect what you do. Love your videos also. It's just in my opinion & I know it doesn't matter. But the full carbon has been done. I think the bike needs a unique touch that you & Zach can only do. Great duo!
I use to love watching Ib's videos and then he changed into what he is now. Its a reason the channel views are down because the original fanbase aint here anymore due to this wack content thats being shoved down their throats. Love Zack but is this his channel or yours because its more content of him on the channel than you now.
You're just a little 'butt hurt'.... In time, you'll get over it, mature a bit and it will all make sense. Until then, please continue watching and enjoying the content. ❤️👍
@@650ib not butt hurt at all as there's no reason for me to be. Your response is a prime example of the problem with some RU-vidrs. You guys have made it to a point where you can't take hearing the truth anymore and instead only want to hear people inflate your already too big for life ego. Everybody that doesn't like something you do isn't a hater and aren't butthurt but obviously I hurt your feelings so I wont speak the truth anymore and only say good things and inflate your soft ego. Deal?
