Well for starters companies like Google and Amazon are constantly buying and selling your data for targeted advertising and you NEVER see any of it, you yourself are not paid for it. If Yang implements UBI, people would able to choose between their current welfare and the freedom dividend, you are just guaranteed a 1,000 a month so if you're paid let's say 700 by a welfare program, then the freedom dividend would pay a 300 on top. If you're paid more then it doesn't stack, you can keep your welfare program. Yang would also consolidate the welfare programs allowing for more money to be diverted to the UBI instead of the mismanaged welfare programs. The 3 trillion that many have said would be required to pay the UBI would very quickly shrink to 1.8 trillion because about half of Americans are already recieving income support in one way or another. In comparison, the entire US economy is 20 trillion, which is up 5 trillion over the course of the last 12 years, and the federal budget is 4 trillion. While 1.8 trillion is alot of money, it is manageable. And when you put money in someone's hands it doesn't just disappear, it will go back into the economy in the form of car payments that have been held off, food, childcare, leisure activities, and then the businesses would then receive more money, they hire more people, and the money would come right back to the people as well as the government as tax revenue. It's a multiplication effect that occurs as the money cycles through the economy. And through this, from that established 1.8 trillion the budget will get back 400 billion in new tax receipts because people overall will be spending a lot more money, as well as another 100 to 200 billion as money will be saved from incarceration, because yes there is a very clear correlation between crime and poverty, and that 100 to 200 billion saved will also come from homelessness programs, and ER healthcare. This helps us save money on things we already spend trillions on such as homelessness services, healthcare and incarceration. This has evidently been shown in studies that if parents have more money, the children are more well nurished, healthy, and more likely to get a higher education. In business, it is known that investing in your people increases productivity. Then there's the VAT or Value Added Tax which would pay for the rest, it would force corporations to pay their fair share, and it will be taking a slice of the profits and savings made by corporations from things like automation, or when companies buy and sell your data for targeted advertisements, which studies have shown that our data is worth more than oil, with some cases where companies will pay 1,000 per user for their data. So yeah, that 3 trillion very quickly diminishes to zero or at least an insignificant number when talking in terms of government spending.

My immediate response was to point out that, over the years, we have taken steps to improve safety in cars and tried to reduce the deaths (rather than just throwing up our hands and saying nothing can be done, or saying to ban cars), but after my initial response, I thought about it more, and it seemed to be a good model. You have to get a license to drive, and in most states, that involves proving that you are proficient and responsible behind the wheel; if you are reckless behind the wheel, you will lose your license. You have to register your car. I mean the ways in which, if we treat guns like cars, we could reduce many of the problems related to guns, is astounding. No one says that our vehicle system is a "slippery slope" to taking everyone's cars away; we all realize that we can own cars, but if you are irresponsible/a danger to the public, you lose you right to drive; the same would be true of the system if applied to guns, in that responsible gun owners would not have problems, but these solutions could cut down on stuff like kids shooting people accidentally, or someone stealing your gun, or them falling into the wrong hands.

Chad Gasaway he is the only candidate to actually try solving gun violence from different fronts. He acknowledges mental health contributes to the problem rather than outright banning gun. Where’s every libtard says that mental health is not the issue. He understands that there are multiple causes to gun violence epidemic and offers solutions all at the same time. @Jason Salim Agreed but I am not sure every liberal says mental health is not the issue. Many people suffering from mental health issues go undiagnosed. There is no way to solve mental health issues for the population. I do think many of Yangs proposals do help with many causes of gun violence but the failing of the right is the refusal to acknowledge that the guns themselves are apart of the problem. Our government can not even agree on the problem. So both the dems and to republicans are failing there constituents. Yang not being partisan is so refreshing. He could care less about partisan politics and is just interested in solving problems. Exactly what we need.
