I lost my wife to covid in December of 2019. 30 years together and it's still hard. I miss her so much. I never thought that we would see so many lost. My heart is broken for Americans.
People said this wouldn't be as bad as the flu....every fucking day I see cases going worse and worse. Only after I was deployed to Dallas I found out that even my family was hit with cpvid and to this day I am happy that they didn't suffer any worst To this day I kept wearing a mask no matter how uncomfortable it can get, even when I go out and there is a huge crowd I don't go to that area. I just wish people can realize now that you can't underestimate the virus, if anything this turned me into a practical germaphobe

@Daniel Morse there were a hell of a lot worse fates than a low sperm count, and I am sure that there will be many more effects from the virus discovered in the future but low sperm count is at the bottom of concerns as there are many that followed guidelines and have not contracted the virus

My sister-in-law and my nephew who were nurses, got this thing and recovered but not my uncle who died last April.He was a retired Army officer.It was very tough for my family in the last two years or so. My other uncle died in the first month of 2019. Few months later after, my aunt died of cancer then my mother had a cardiac arrest and passed away, months after my aunt died. Four of them were siblings.Hard to keep a straight-up face nowadays.

I am from the Philippines. I have 2 aunts, 2 uncles and 2 cousins who died because of covid. My mom, 3 sisters and 2 nephews survived. Other relatives and friends are still in the hospital fighting. I really hope and pray that this would finally end. Hope everyone learns something out of this. Let's all love and take care of each other.

@Brooke Baldvag New Zealand lost 25 people, 25 total. They listened to the experts, locked down at the first case, and instituted mask mandates. Vietnam did the same thing and have only had 35 deaths. This all could've been avoided

All you need to not die of Covid or get severe symptoms is diet. Eating specific foods strengthens the immune system, your body's gut has a relationship with your immune system. I still haven't gotten the first shot. I strongly felt it was a better investment to boost my immune system. Age 62, healthy as ever. Heck, haven't been to a doctor in ten years. Healthy diet. Plenty of exercise in the outdoors. And practice meditation each day to minimize stress.

I really dislike when people say 98% people live..... what about the 2% those are people, those are loved ones, just because people recover doesn't mean its okay that people die. I had covid a year ago this week, I recovered in early March, I'm still experiencing complications, I've been to so many doctors who told me the best thing I can do is wait it out and eventually my smell and taste will return to normal.. 11 months later and I'm not even close.

A few of my co-workers are Trump supporters and have said the same thing essentially by mentioning that COVID is 99% survivable. They look at me with a stupid blank stare when I point out that 1% of the US population is around 4 million people.
Yeah, I mean even if a pandemic has a hypothetical survival rate of 99%, if every American were to contract the disease that would still be 3 million dead Americans; so just looking at the survival rate and concluding that it's safe to dismiss the pandemic as not worth worrying about is a major mistake. Even if you're not worried about yourself because you think you're strong and healthy and won't be affected by this, there's probably at least one person that matters to you that has some kind of health problems and is thus at risk.
People don't seem to understand that surviving COVID doesn't mean going back to normal. This is going to leave millions of people partiality or fully disabled.
What about all the ppl who’ve suffered or died as a result of losing everything because of what the government has done to try and protect ppl from the virus.....
