You can’t stop Boston sports fans from insulting the Yankees. Even at non sports-related events! One time I was at a Dropkick Murphys concert in Providence, Rhode Island, which obviously meant that there were a bunch of Red Sox fans there. During that concert, the entire crowd went bananas and started yelling it! I get that it’s a New England show from a New England based band so obviously it attracts Red Sox fans but Jesus you had to be there it was so surreal and made me proud to be a Boston sports fan
I was really confused by this. First I heard "YANKEES SUCK" but then I was like, why would that come up? It's not even baseball season. And this is Anaheim. Wtf? Then I thought about it a bit, and interpreted it as "THANK YOU DUCKS" which is infinitely more hilarious because the context is relevant there - it's Anaheim, and they gave us Lindholm aaaand muzzled a bit of the Sweeney Scrutiny because so far that's been his best transaction as Bruins GM. Not including sign Bergy and Krejci to the most team-first contracts in history.
