I was already a fan of Soto since his rookie year but him being on the Yankees is making him one of my favorite hitters of all time now that I get a chance to watch him everyday. He’s incredible man
Gleyber and Verdugos contracts end this year and Rizzos ends next year. That’s 40 million coming off the books. Soto gets 55 million and they backload it and POSSIBLY do a deferment deal like the Dodgers do with their stars they can afford it. Plus spencer jones, Arias and Vivas coming up. That saves on signing FAs. I don’t wanna hear that they can’t afford it. He’ll still be 29 when Stanton’s contract comes off the books. WELL worth it.
The way salaries have ballooned for the elite players in this game, the Yankees no longer have a choice in whether or not to pay a guy like Soto. Especially considering his age.
Judge should be open minded that Juan Soto is a clutch hitter younger player that’s better then Judge. His maturity and acceptance should be exercise for betterment of the Yankee to win # 28.
Over $50 million per year for Juan Soto. thats ridiculous, giving Juan Soto and Scott Boras ideas on what amount money to get. Yankees need to draw a line in the sand. Offer max 42 million per year for 9 years. No players is worth that much, injuries and declining performance isn’t inevitable. Look what happen to Gerrit Cole, Giancarlo Stanton and ARod big contract.
Cohen and his small dick energy will price the Yankees out and he’ll put a horrible bloated payroll team around him and Soto will be on a .500 team until he retires.
The Yankees have become the Royals and always concerned about payroll and what's coming of the books. Good players are good players and Soto is a good player, this is not Kay-egiew.
If the yankees never intended on signing Juan, then you should of never traded for him. Next year if Juan Soto isn't in the lineup, then they better have signed someone else comparable.
I hate the glazing the Orioles have been getting. Yes they’re fxcking amazing, we get it. Trust me, we get it. But so are a lot of other teams. Let them win a postseason series first damn
If george was alive Soto would have been signed already. Are you guys telling me there are teams with more mone than the Yankees? What about buying out of Stanton's contract which has never been worth the money? with Torres gone and maybe Rizzo, who may come back on the cheap, there is room for Soto's potential contract. Just keep those young pitchers coming like Warren, Beeter and Gomez. And there's more coming after that.
This is going to sound like spoiled Yankee fan, but Stanton has been an albatross for years now. He cannot stop you from “improving” .. the HOF, the longest tener, EVP and GM has to fix the way to move him… that DH spot needs to be opened up.. badly he has to be moved and yes the no trade…that can be worked with.. HAS TO
@@GDavis49 he’s gotta find a way to trade him.. obviously straight up it’s not happening… he’s got to attach prospects to make it worth it.. take back salary… he’s been dealing with G.. clogging the lineup for years… he has to get something done.. Sox traded Price to dodges and they ate 100m and Cashman can’t figure this out when he’s had years… FOH
@@ceasarblackman9501 The huge difference in the Price deal is that it included Mookie Betts. Short of an outright release the Yankees are stuck with Stanton for awhile. The backside of the Judge deal will be much worse than this however.
@@GDavis49 hence why Cashman has to figure this one. Just for name sake.. do you attach a Spencer Jones/ combo of top end talent to free almost 100m, DH spot and get more athletic? I think the upside of freeing that DH roster spot could mean so much. G is really like the last piece of the athletic squad. Can’t run, can’t field, brittle, super streaky at the plate… even if he has an up season from the last couple… use that upside to move him… don’t know who’s wanting him, but where there is a will there is a way
