Thank you, I always love a challenge. Stay tuned for my next video...you might just enjoy the next project..here's a hint...it had been sitting in a field for 12+ years.
I can’t believe you are going to sell that tractor! That little 4 wheel drive will out work just about anything you’ve got at the ranch, and I love 8ns !
Although you may never do another tractor clutch I set up a beam in the shed or use a removable leg gantry length ways over the tractor and suspend both half,s from chain blocks 2 chain blocks on girder trollies so I can roll the tractor apart and back together in perfect alignment , it's worked for me several times even in the field
Hey Brian, Funny you mentioned a beam.... I had been waffling about a gantry system...either overhead beam or building a "portable" frame. It was this very job that convinced me to finally get one. I just brought it up a beam to the property this last weekend...I will have a video up in a couple days. Thanks for watching.
All in all that looked like a fun little project. Should last a lifetime now. If you run out of things to do, I got a farmall 806 sitting in the shop that needs a torque amplifier and a clutch. It’s going to be a bit more involved than that little guy tho. Good stuff as always.
I have split apart a couple full size tractors over the years, but the planning in doing something at that weight and scale was much better. I'm not going to say I underestimated this machine, but I could have better planned out how to manage the two halves.
I'm surprised you didn't keep ahold of it. Something like that would be pretty useful around the place. Definitely more useful than that locked up B tractor you had. Either way nice job!
I really considered it... but If I'm maintaining another tractor, it's not going to be another small frame...it's going be a full size machine....and considering how much $$ I got for it, I could not see keeping it around.
I’m quite frustrated with YT..... I haven’t gotten notifications for your videos for a while. I have the “bell” clicked and everything.... I’ve always really enjoyed all the content you’ve put out over the years. You were one of the first channels that I frequented and subscribed to. Anywho. Rant over. Glad to see another video and keep on keeping on!
Thank you for watching my vids and sticking around for the long haul. You are not the first person who has mentioned not getting notifications of my videos. I am not happy with RU-vid and feel it's a dying platform for small channels like mine. I have always kept my channel politically neutral, drama free, kid friendly and not offensive. I started watching a few conservative news channels and vlogging style channels...just watching, not getting crazy with comments or anything else...just watching to see what is out there (okay maybe the occasional thumbs up on a video) and all of a sudden I have a 75% drop in my video views and have many people tell me the same thing you just said. It's plain as day when you look at my analytics and see how low my views are compared to just 18~24 months ago. It's sad that this platform makes my viewing history something to punish me with and chose to promote those videos they feel align with their liberal leanings. Anywho...rant over. haha.
The thing that mostly caught my attention was when I was watching Adam over on Vloggin Life and I saw you make a comment and I was like.... gee wiz, I haven’t heard from bee keeper in a while. And low and behold I’m 5-6 videos behind. P.S. any plans for the 46 Dodge? That was one of the first things that drew me to your channel, along with the ‘Burban and beautiful GTO. Haha
Yeah, I was not in love with this one...and I have the 8n...and I made really a good profit ... If it had even one implement it likely would have not been deleted.
it was a real clutch play there. glad it was only a little soft tissue damage. if your gonna make crackin tractors a usual thing make a set of rails and rollers. Helps with the finding new words and hospital visits. Don't ask me how I know this. Good job though those little diesels got some twist to em. I would be on the fence about getting rid of it to.
Great idea about making rails or rollers. I really made good profit selling this tractor and it just didn't make sense to me to keep it. Others will cross my path and I will be there to drag them home. haha.
It's still here... complete and waiting for me to restore it... or sell it. I don't want to spread its parts out, so I'm not even going to crack into it until I have time to devote to the resto.
