I stopped at a yard sale, and wound up buying a one-owner 1967 Mercury Commuter Wagon from the garage NEXT DOOR! This thing is a time capsule. Let's do this! Edited by VideoGuru:videoguru.page.link/Best
@DocZoidberg549 Much of my childhood was spent in a station wagon, sitting in the back seat as my mom drove. My siblings and I rotated seats, depending on who yelled "shotgun" first. Great times. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@trashman1979 I remember falling in love with a Parklane when I was a kid. It sat in a driveway close to my grandma's house. Funny how things like that get stuck in your brain. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I can't wait to get it going. I want to take the previous owner to Dairy Queen in it. He was 3 years old when his dad bought it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Hello Sean. That is a great find! She is super clean. I own a 65/66 Colony park wagon that my father bought brand new. Those hubcaps I beleive are from a 66 model year. Get thos mice out of that car as soon as possible. I had mice get into my car over the winter. They got into the headliner and made a mess. I trapped over 10 mice and found 6 nests up there. What a smell! Im lucky they stayed away from the engine bay. George B
Whoah cool! You nabbed it after just a peek-a-boo bumper protrusion! Years ago, buddies of mine would think oddly of me when we'd find a 'wagon in decent shape. What a survivor!
I once asked a guy about his 1957 Corvette Fuelie that was under a car cover in his garage. He asked how I knew what it was. I said, "Well, I could make out the fuel injection emblem on the fender, and they started that in '57. Plus, there's only two headlights. " I'm a true gearhead. lol Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@muddymo7641 I'm so excited! I'll be overhauling the fuel system over the next couple of days, as well as the brakes. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@novanut1964 I sure will! I'll be getting it running on a boat tank and electric pump while the gas tank gets cleaned this week. I'm having a ball with this car. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@rickijimenez2386 I have loved bubblegum machines since I was a kid! I already have one in my house, but I've been thinking about the set that was beside the Mercury ever since I got the car. I promised the seller I'd come by his house once I got the car drivable, so I guess I'll get the bubblegum machines when I do that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@bighank796 Thanks for the vote of confidence! I've been tinkering with it all day. It's been challenging, as I'm in Florida, and it's hot and humid today. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@mohawkgarage yeah, I'm hiding in a. C even in Massachusetts. I'm going to look up some info on those cars, I never seen one. I just read from somewhere that less than 3500 were made in 67?
@@mohawkgarage does your car have a 410 or I thought in the video you had said it is a 390? The 410 I believe was a one year only engine, great, but strangled by too small of a 4 barell. I think only like 450 cfm
I'm so excited about this car. The owner and I both have lots of childhood memories of sitting in the back of Ford Station wagons as kids. He even found the tassle from his graduation in 1982 hanging from the rear view mirror. He drove the car as a teen. Thanks for watching and commenting!
The engine appears to have had a smog pump at one time. If original it should have had an elbow on the air cleaner base to connect to oil filler cap. Are you sure it is a 390? Could also be a M code 410-4V or Q code 428-4V. Check your VIN. The body looks to be in great shape. I have a buddy that recently picked up a 1969 Colony Park wagon. Very nice find.
@scottbenke7182 The air cleaner lid says 390, but I will confirm tomorrow. I'll also check out the elbow. Thanks for the excellent information. I hope your friend enjoys his Colony Park wagon! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@MetalMania3DTV-TAS-AUS I'm so fired up! I can't wait for the morning so I can get to work on it! Hope all is well with you, buddy! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice car! Many years ago I bought a 1967 mercury park lane 4 door, It was dark green color on the outside. beige interior. It had the 410 v8 4 barrel carb. Found out later from some one that the park lane only came in the 410 v8.
@@gened7756 Whoa! I've heard that the 410 was/is very rare. This one has the garden variety 390, but I love it so far. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@mrbill8542 The entire car is so well-kept...it's doing everything right so far. The window is the ONLY THING that doesn't work yet! Thanks again for watching!
@giff427dg I've not seen any smog stuff. Was the pump installed in all 50 states? This was built in Jacksonville, Florida. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I just found your channel I liked and subscribed...I see you're in Florida what part? Reason I ask Is I lived in Florida for over 30 years moved to Michigan a year ago... Good luck on the car..
@Robert-qh2jp I'm on the eastern side of Tampa Bay. I've lived here for about 10 years. It's hot, but it's cool! lol Thanks for watching, liking, commenting, AND SUBSCRIBING!!!!
OH! I know Alma!! Right on! Awesome part of the State. That's really very cool, Robert. Thx for the feedback. I'm sort of home bound except for Chemo/RAD treatments every day and your side of normal is very welcome in my world. Thank You for your response. I LOVE THAT! ALMA. Who would have thought. Peace and much happiness to you and yours. Love from the Phoenix area out here in Arizona.
@JohnMurphy-dw6ml Not sure if you're asking how much I gave for it or how much I'd take for it. I may sell it eventually, but not right now. Ask me in 30 days! My life changes quickly! lol Thanks for watching and commenting!
