Colin Foster it wasn’t easy for sure but the VViViD vinyl conforms very wells I tried to show all my mistakes to make this a more “real” review and what to expect unlike a lot of the other videos online. I don’t think I would be able to do it with a cheaper knockoff vinyl
I have heard that chrome is very difficult to work with. You have to be very careful with stretching or you will discolor it and have glue lines visible
@ChadMees not to mention every time I get to the edges it has literally un manageable wrinkles where it wants to go in impossible directions without lifting the whole thing an trying again and this has happened 3 panels now
It isnt actually for a Fusion. I modified the one for the 2015 Mustang to fit. Its a bit narrower at the base but works overall. Very minor modification needed to the louver itself
Pros didn’t become pros the first time the wrapped something. It’s very satisfying to say that you have done everything on your car rather than paying someone else to just do it. Of course there will be mistakes but it makes it more personal. Plus you care about it more because it’s truly your hard work that has gone into it. If I could have afforded to pay someone to do it that would be great but it’s cool to be able to change the appearance so drastically without it costing a fortune
