I think reprising his role as Zuko for Death Battle had a lot of contractual repercussions. Fanworks aren't usually something animation studios want to allow their actors to work on.

The Switch might not be that different to the graphical power of the Wii U, but it is based entirely on a handheld based system, so that's kind of to be expected. The problem lies in porting more high end titles or games not properly optimized for the system. That and the fact that games have to compromise for 32gb of space on a cartridge, which is why companies are trying to work around this, but often for the wrong reasons that are an inconvenience to the player.

@@UltimateDragonX9999 Technically Nelvana only owns international distribution rights to the first five seasons, the IP itself and seasons 6-10 are still owned by Nick. Nick only gave these rights to Nelvana to cut costs, and Nelvana was never involved in the making of the show itself. However, some international merchandising rights (including video games) are in a legal limbo because of the Nelvana situation.

I agree, I think part of the problem is most dev companies, when porting to Switch, take the mentality of "turn down the performance and graphics sliders until the console isn't roasting itself alive trying to run", whereas Doom and Witcher had to essentially be reconstructed from the ground up, and the end products very much reflect that. I haven't played Doom (heard good things about it though from a performance standpoint), but when I played Witcher I rarely had performance issues, and had the game crash maybe two or three times total (each time was accessing my inventory chest in Novigrad, one of the most performance intense areas in the game.)

The rights to Garfield and Friends (and the old specials) were bought out by 9 Story, which usually makes preschool shows for PBS. They recently remastered the show in 4K, but it's cropped to widescreen and the theme song is cheaply reanimated in Flash, among many other issues

@Cole Before I write this comment, I want to point out that I am not disparaging Arlo. He is a busy familyman with a full schedule and what seems like a packed, stressful life. The guy has recorded out of cars, closets, and hospitals. I respect the hustle. He deserves to get what he can. I'm just sayin, don't let your purchase be influenced by a promotional video. Anyways, I _have_ been watching Arlo since his very first video. And I am fully aware of Arlo's business ethics, or what he has suggested to be his ethics. That is why this video is surprising and why I commented. I don't think Arlo lied during this review. But, knowing him as a brutally honest critic who is unafraid of shining a light on flaws in even the most renowned of video games, it is peculiar that he just spent ten minutes framing a bunch of uninteresting "pros" about a less-than-mediocre yet full retail priced video game, with the only flaw being the obligatory point that it doesn't run optimally on Switch. Keep in mind, all of his promotions thus far have been indie-to-small-studio titles. This? It's a Nickelodeon game. Paramount owned. He probably got a fat paycheck. I don't think Arlo _lied_ when he said that he intends to accept promotions that he can be 100% transparent about. But I am also willing to believe he'd write his script _much more carefully_ for some $$$ Don't forget the check out the Turbo Edition!

You are absolutely right! I like Arlo and his channel a lot. But everybody who has watched Arlo for years and has also played the switch-version of this game can feel that the sponsorship has influenced his take on this one. Like I said in the comments myself. The game has so much potential. But from a technical point of view (framrate etc.) it is a no-go at this point ☹️

Sponsored means you're being paid cash money to promote the game, same when he's paid to sponsor Raycon earbuds. He doesn't review the earbuds or talk about them not having great base, he just promotes them. It's the same thing with game sponsorship.

The second game has a 68 on Open critic. Obviously that's not great, but hardly a dumpster fire, especially considering the first was at just 43. That's a big improvement. The addition of voice acting for the third is another big step. Even if this is the exact same as the second one but with voice acting, to me that means it's easily a 7.5/10.

The second game was far from a dumpster fire. The lack of voices was dumb and it felt a bit bland but it was still a pretty good game for what it was.

You see in 2019 which was 3 years ago Nickelodeon’s parent company Viacom has acquired paws inc, the company that owns Garfield meaning that Garfield is now Nickelodeon property along with a new Garfield cartoon being worked on for Nickelodeon. That’s how Garfield was able to be in Nickelodeon all star and now recently kart racer 3.

Honestly, I wouldn't put it past the bots running the copyright strikes... but it's also possible he wanted this done as fast as possible, so just prepared an off the cuff voice recording, gameplay footage, and then just did a video with one voice track and one video track, rather than splicing in sections with audio from the game as well to save time. Like, they paid him to do an impressions-video, not a full on review video.

They didn't send him a copy to review, they paid him to promote it. Huge difference.

This gameplay looks WAY better than the switch gameplay I've seen in other reviews. It looks like he's playing the Xbox version, not the switch version like he normally does

Tommy and Angelica were in the previous game with Angelica being unlockable so they're most likely unlockables here. Mr. Krabs is one of the Pit Chiefs as you can see at 3:08 so that explains him and in Jimmy's case he most likely has a few more unlockable characters.

Yeah, the first two games didn't have any voice acting. It was VERY noticeable, so I'm glad they've finally fixed that.

honestly even without the voice acting id really suggest the second game if you want to try one. not really sure where arlo got his info from but the majority of these characters arent voiced by the original voice actors and its very noticeable. the quotes are annoying to listen to. i also should mention the second game ran at a decently smooth 60 fps on switch. this one averages 20 fps. one last thing. this one is literally an unfinished game. on all systems if you check the version number its 0.3.0. they have literally sold us a beta game
