I love what the Rebbe accomplished and I think he is by far the biggest tzaddik of our time. I don’t think we should put a name on who the moshiach is because it’s a dangerous territory to tread in. I don’t know if it’s the case if he is or isn’t but I prefer not say he is even though I think it’s possible. 100% not idol worship. The thing is I can’t help but chant this tune every here and there 😂
Interesting. I know people (mainly people who hate Moshichisten) who claim the practice of Lubavitchers chanting the Yechi is dead or dying. Being that this video is less than a year old, it seems it still goes on? * By the way, at the 1:53 mark, one sees the banner, and I notice it calls the 7th Lubavitcher Rebbe אדונינו rather than אדוננו (i.e. it is plural). Is that a typo? Or is it meant to hint at the belief that the Messiah is, as some have put it, "אלוקות מלובש בגוף"?
this is what I see. first of all it's 770 (the Rebbe's home shul) second: most of these guys are young men in Yeshiva most likely. this is not reflective of Chabad (even just in crown heights) there are many kids who have now grown up with the Rebbe being a Legendary figure more then a person who they saw or heard speak motzi shabbos. a lot of these kids can barely remember the Rebbe's last stroke let alone any of the good he did. don't give them such a bad rap, they're good kids. lastly: just looking at yechi, and what they are saying (long live our lord, our master, our teacher, our king, the moshiach for ever.) if you are singing that niggun with the thought of the coming moshiach, and you are clear that that is what you are doing when you are asked, then I think it can become a good thing. I love this niggun (just listen to it, it's so beautiful) but I don't think we should sing this for Rabbi Schneerson, however make no mistake he was the greatest religious leader of the last century.
how? probably about a minute later they started worshipping Hashem as this is before shul. They're not worshipping the Rebbe in anyway. some crazies might but this is not idoltary
Simon zapati What the BS are u talking bout?? Do you EXACTLY know who is Moshiach and how SPECIFICALLY he will reveal himself to this world??? Or maybe you also EXACTLY know that the connection with this world entirely stops once a tzaddik leaves this physical entity?? Don’t you think you are just over-self-confident, while knowing tooooooo little about this life.
Simon zapati Not really. We don’t think he is Hashem. You can have a connection to Tzadikim once they pass on. There’s thinking someone is Moshiach and then there is thinking Moshiach is part of Hashem like they do with with the “trinity”.
