I saw a show from the 1978 'Tormato' tour as well. I've seen them multiple times more recently in the Chicago area. Also saw a show in August 2014 in Grand Prairie, Texas just months before Chris passed away.
Fajnie jest przypomnieć sobie ten niesamowity koncert w Dolinie Charlotty.

I feel for Rabin. Even though it should be easy as pie, when you're soloing over a "round trip" of the circle of fifths like in "Awaken," it's too easy to get confused even though you know exactly where it's going. Great performance even with the slight flubs, though. The ARW performances of "Awaken" towards the end of their last tour were the best performances of "Awaken" by any Yes-related group, even those with Howe or even on the tour for the album the song was originally on (Going for the One in 77). High praise from me, considering how much of a Howe fanboy I am.
The 2003 live version you can find on RU-vid is infinitely better….though to be fair, it is professionally filmed and recorded. This is a fantastic piece of music that needs quality on every aspect.
The problem here is Rabin - he is playing along. I don't mean that he should play Howe's part note for note but there some parts in the song that require just that. Not a good version of Awaken...
Steve Howe single-handedly pushed this song into stardom originally. Swing and a miss. Sorry Jon. I wouldn't even have attempted this song without him.
@@stevennovakovich2525 Yup, I have. Steve still added that "something" that made it magical that they missed out on there too. Steve's steel guitar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CwspoyRdeV0.html
ARW had its flaws but they did get much better over time and sounded much more like Yes than the current official version. I think your descriptions are more accurate of them.
