The fact the clone wars only lasted 3 years is so baffling to me, irl we've had wars that went on for decades and even up to a century for a little bit of land on a single continent of 1 planet... yet these guys waged a universe wide war and lost in only 3 years...mind boggling
@@killerbug05 the reason they lost is palpatine arranged that. If after the death of dooku grievous was left totally unhinged with no commander war would have laster much longer
To be fair palpatine spent many years in the senate just to rule the galaxy. So its understandable when he met the chosen one he would want to speed things up a bit for his grand plan
I generally always felt the CW timeline makes very little sense when you watch the new show because they make it sound like entire planetary battles are fought and won in a weeks time lol.
@@doctorfives I know, I called something in star wars dumb. Just hand me over to vader now. 😔😔 or better yet, throw me into the sarlacc pit. I deserve to be digested for 500 years.
Something about the this I really like. The cold rainy setting in the middle of another planet, it’s like another day in this seemingly never ending war nd it gives the idea of the clone wars such a greater depth to it. There are seemingly thousands more battles, planets and places Anakin and Obi wan go to. They may have felt fear and anticipation at the start of the war, but now it has become this monotonous daily routine. Idk if this makes sense just a feeling
I really understand. Sometimes they make it look like fun to be a Jedi in this war (which sometimes I guess it can be). But this scene really shows what it’s like. When you’re several month long battles instead of the few hour missions or. Even quick sieges that last less than the planets rotation.
Such is the life of a soldier, especially one that survives through many battles. War service is usually many, many hours and days of monotony followed by a few minutes of utter chaos and terror, then more monotony and mind numbing boredom.
The Clone Wars served the purpose of grinding the Jedi Order's preparedness and patience into the muck. After the monotony, the setbacks and the constant struggles against endless armies of soulless killing machines, watching countless brave, selfless troopers, courageous militias and innocent people get hurt or killed in pointless conflict _they never saw the end coming._
@@saxtonturner2240 Well yeah, it's the point of it all. If they're exhausted and feeling like there's no end in sight, then they literally will not see the end coming right at them.
>Tell general you're gonna be slugging it out in the rain and mud for three more months >general complains >Tell him "We're right on schedule" >Refuses to elaborate further >Leaves
I like how people say Cody is trolling Kenobi, but this was before they "humanized" the clones. He's literally just giving a report. And this is what I loved about this Clone Wars series.
Cody: "The pandemic goes well. With continuous lockdowns, we should stop the spread in 8 years". Kenobi: "But we've been locked down for 2 years already" Cody: "Yessir, we're right on schedule." [Kill me]
@@Sumschmuck nah bruh, it's cause people can't act like adults. We would have been done and over with covid a long time ago, but instead we still have people crying on the floor cause they have to wear a simple mask smh
Everyone takes this as Cody just trolling. But it's probably just Cody being genuine with his report. These clones are trained from birth to only be proficient soldiers, 4 months of constant battle is nothing for them.
@@DarthVader-6637 Literally every single comment, and Obi Wan himself, is saying it's Commander Cody. You oughta let everyone know they're wrong or else they'll look foolish
Idk if it’s just me, but I hate it when Cody says “months.” Because in Star Wars, the correct terminology is “standard rotation” in this case, Cody should have said “The siege goes well, with our continued barrage, their shields should be down in 90 standard rotations.
This is what the Clone Wars actually should be. We get a sense here that conflicts lasted *months* not just hours or at-max a few days like in TCW '08.
Clone wars 3D: "there's no way we can spend three months trying to take down a shield, is there any blind spots or weak points in the shield?" Clone wars 2D: "The shield should be down in three months, we're right on schedule"
There is something so funny about the way he rockets off. Like is SO FAST, one frame he's standing there and the next frame half his body is already out of screen. A similar scene really tickles me as well. When Shak Ti uses the force to snag General Grievous's cape on a train. The train goes from 0 to 1,000mph in literally half a second and it looks hilarious.
Kenobi realized at that moment the hardships that clones go through compared to him. Hes sitting there all ready to go home and the clones are just like "3 more months? Oh boy thats great news! Right on schedule!"
